"Uplifting" is definitely a good word to use when trying to convince others to watch tragic dramas. In fact, I converted quite a few friends to Silence using this particular adjective ;P. It's interesting that Hanadan is 5th on your jdrama list. I loved Kurosagi and Pride, but for some reason I find Hana Yori Dango a lot more emotionally evocative...

I haven't watched Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake but I just checked out your MVs, and I do believe I may have to give it a try.

I really really love Hanadan, but ultimately I think more 'dramatic' and 'angsty' storylines sort of trump. And of course Pride has Kimutaku :P I have never seen anything as awesome as Pride (nuanced, and complex, and moving) except Mars, in doramaland.

Re: uplifting. LOL. I find some tragic dramas have that (Kamisama, Snow Queen) and others (A Love to Kill) are just tragic. I'd actually place Silence in the latter category :)

But yeah, KMSD is awesome.

I've been thinking of watching this but illness girl dramas kills me. They make me cry too much. I think one day when I have enough courage and huge supply of tissues I'll definately have to give this a watch. :)
