Youtube rocks the Asian music scene

Had yummy lunch with Mr. Mousie at Mangu, a new Korean restaurant. They had soju, and after all kdramas I wanted to try some, but swilling liquor at lunch, not such a good idea. Next time. And then a chocolate milk thing at Godiva chocolates. And the best walk all over the city (for hours), watching the sun set. And off to see Letters from Iwo Jima ( Read more... )

personal, youtube, kame, matsujun, yamapi, doramas3, nobuta wo produce

That third is "LoveXXX" and is one of my fave Yamapi live perfs. Btw, for anyone who wants the actual videos for download, I have Seishun Amigo, Daite Senorita & LoveXXX uploaded already. :) They are much love.

All three of these plus other Yamapi videos and NewS performances are here. I'm unlocking it for now, but I'll flock it in a week, so get what you want now! :) And enjoy, because they're all fun.

Thanks! It did look awesome (LoveXXX). I am not much on jpop (or any music) but it looks like I am making an exception for the shiny idols :D

Ahaha, you've discovered LoveXXXX, I see. Quite different from Yamapi in dramas, isn't it?

Anyway. I'll have to watch these. I never go looking for music videos anymore, but if you find the good ones for me, I can't resist.

I have "Let Me" in the post I linked above, and I highly agree - it's fabulous. :) (well, the dancing is fabulous...that costume is questionable)

WEIRD. Just now I'm watching Arashi's "How's It Going" concert, and I get to Jun's "Don't Cry", and decide to pause to take a break and read livejournal. And you just happen to have the same Matsujun song up that I paused at!

Seriously, if it weren't for cracktastic videos on Youtube, I doubt I'd be so much into this particular scene.

You get three guesses as to who's in the clown suit, and the first two don't count.

There's also this one, where Aiba from Arashi kisses* 13-year-old Yamapi!

*Or not.

Seriously, I got a million of 'em. Do you happen to have a particularly burning desire to see Matsujun in a purple aphro?

Also, HOORAY you're going to see Letters! FINALLY I'll have someone to talk with about it!

Heeeee. those vids were to die for.

Purple aphro? Bring in ON!!!

Re: Letters. It was excellent and very depressing. I think I need to re-immerce myself into Japanese enteratainment that has sequins.

Okay, so I couldn't find the purple aphro video. It looks like it got pulled, which saddens me, because it was one of the first ones I saw and I thought it was absolutely cracktastic. Intead, I offer you "Te Agero" from one of their concerts; they've lost the color-coded wigs but are still decked out in seventies-style disco outfits. Matsujun's in purple, and holy crap keep your eyes on his ass (also featuring Saigo Nino, wearing an outfit entirely yellow!).

Arashi cosplay. Sho is a kindergartener (a girl, too, from the looks of it... I think he's wearing a skirt), Aiba's a cheerleader, Matsujun is an "American priest" (I have never seen a priest dressed like that, wtf), Ohno's a maid, Nino's a ninja, and whoever their guest is looks like a vinyl policewoman.

Apparently Matsujun crossdressed a bit when he was younger:

Professing his love for Aiba (back when they were Johnny's Juniors):

Being a detective with Sho in order to stop a bad guy:
I'm including this just because I find it funny every single time I watch it. Aiba and ( ... )

Oooh. Can we go to a Korean restaurant when I am next in town? I don't think I've had Korean food in proper restaurant like, ever.
