That article... oh, dear God. How can you monitor that sort of thing? Yeah, simple, you can't. What a ridiculous idea.

Yeah, I know. Utterly ridiculous. Maybe they hope for an honor system? *rolls eyes*

I adore Jin. As tough and cold as he can be, I love that the series shows flashes where it's quite obvious that he IS only 21. Anime generally has a healthy disregard to age and maturity level for said age (as in Sanzo being irrationally curmudgeonly for 23), but in SC you remember that for all his ability and stoicism, Jin is really quite young. It's why he's so obviously conflicted when it comes to the prostitute he falls for and why he does just as stupid stuff as Mugen sometimes. I could go into a huge character study of Jin (and probably will sometime in the future).

There's an amazing fight at the end of the series where Mugen and Jin are fighting together and you get to see that because their styles are so different, they compliment each other perfectly.

I remember the Jin icon!

Sanzo is supposed to be only 23? Wow.

But yeah, I am only an ep in (though technically, I've seen two: this one and the Jin/prostitute one, which sold me on the show), and I have rarely fallen in love so fast with an anime.

Yup, Sanzo's only 23 and your boy Hakkai is only 22. Sanosuke from RK is only 19. I'm totally discounting all the child prodigies that randomly show up in anime too. Anime just has no regard for age most of the time.

And I understand the falling fast and hard for an anime. Generally I have to warm up to one (and SC was actually one of those), but there are just some that have me from day one. Trigun was one of those. So was Witch Hunter Robin (seriously, if you love understated yet very obvious romantic tension, this series is for you). Another was GetBackers.

Yeah, Trigun I fell for right away. FMP and FY I liked to begin with, but it took a few eps to really fall for. WHR I'll check out...it's on my list.

Aaah...I need to get back to Samurai Champloo..it was only on the second disc when I switched from getting single discs of anime to waiting until they were finished(though I may break that rule if/when Death Note and Wallflower/Perfect Girl Evolution come over here)

Oh, in Get Backers, is it bad if a tiny part of me wanted to ship Natsumi and Emishi after her recovery service ep?

Wallflower is an anime now? I never read the manga but the concept seemed really cool so I must check it out.

Re: GB. While my ships on GB were most of all Shido/Madoka (awwww. Hits all my kinks) and then Ban/Himiko, I can definitely see Natsumi and Emishi :)

wallflower is the awesomeness that is shojo mockery and jpop love(the author is an addict) Just imagine if ouran high host club was even more of an over the top cracky shojo parody.

I live for Shido?Madoka atm(I like the Ban/Himiko pairing, but despite my absolute devotion to Ban, I'm largely neutral about it)

Something about Natsumi's ep just "clicked" for me with those two. Of course, if it happened, Ban, Ginji and Paul would kill him many, many times(not to mention Hevn. And I'm sure Shido would have words for him, too)

Oh, I really must check out Wallflower then. :)

I like Ban/Himiko because I love them both and also because the angst buttons (he killed her brother! But because the brother asked!) totally pushed my buttons.
