My Girl: thoughts on eps 15 and 16, part I

I finished My Girl. It was after 2am, I couldn’t see well because of the crying, and I feel zombified today. Was it worth it? Hell YEAH.

Thoughts on eps 15 and 16 )

I have started watching "My girl" yesterday (episode 1 and 2) and of course have alredy watched the last episode. I wanted to know "who will get the girl". I like it very much, but it still reminds me of "Full House" - I find two main heroines similar (but different). And Gong-Chan is for me Min Hyuk re-incarnate, so I welcome the fact that he did win the girl. (even though in "another life"). Sorry , I digress - I have these parallels which probably make sense only for me. :)

So he actually ends up going to do a karaoke song (and he is NOT a good singer) because that is the only way he can express the feelings to her and she won’t bolt

Aww, though he is not a very good singer, there was so much heart in it that I shed a couple of tears.

And YAY! You are a fast watcher!!

Interesting. I don't think GC was ever cold or a playboy type, so not sure (and GC would never ever act the way MH acted with that other girl: he knew she was crushing on him but would still ask her opinion on his other dates).

I think all kdramas have the love quadrangle, so it's similar to FH in that (and Goong and others), but I find the protagonists of MG so much more mature and less about the fighting with each other.

I know, it was totally awesome. And he clearly was the type of guy who would really be uncomfortable on stage.

And YAY! You are a fast watcher!!

Four days. My life was noexistent for the duration :)

I think for me it is probably not who MH was at the beginning, but what he became at the end. (I didn't like him at first, but I liked GC straight away). For me it is a combination of three factors - 1) two actors look a little similar, 2) both MH and GC are hard-working and hugely successful and 3)their interaction with YR and JE respectively. That mixture of amusement and reluctant feeling "I am so very happy to be near her".

They do look a bit similar, you are right.

That mixture of amusement and reluctant feeling "I am so very happy to be near her".

I love love LOVE that bit.

I am also excited that a serious, hard-working, very nice guy actually gets the girl. Eeeeee! Gong-Chan is that rarity among dorama heroes. A genuinely sweet guy.

Oh, I totally will. This is only part 1 of my write-up anyway :)

But OMG, the joke about them being a gay couple? WINS AT LIFE.
