Kurosagi is the best thing since sliced bread. Because sliced bread doesn't have Yamapi.

OK, it's official.

Dangermousie/Kurosagi=OTP.

I love it!

Kurosagi is a jdorama that follows a 'Black Swindler,' a swindler who swindles other swindlers as his livelihood. People on my flist kept raving about it and I can see why ( Read more... )

kurosagi, doramas, yamapi

Tsurara is rather irritating at the beginning, with all that self-righteousness, but she gets better as the series progresses. Other than that...yeah. There seems to be something disturbingly hot about people with that many issues. Especially when they're played by Yamapi.

Yeah, she is mellowing out (am watching ep 2).

But yeah, it's disturbing how hot Kurosagi is. And it's his intensity issues even more than his looks. In RL, I'd run so fast from someone like him, but in fiction? YUM. But OMG. Where has this been all my life?

I am definitely going to check out NwP now because Yamapi? Guuuuuh.

And I've watched ep 2 (more on which later) and yes, Tsurara is evolving. Tsurara is also pretty mellowed out. I think she has never had to face the shady sides of the world before so it was safe for her to assume any illegal activity=evil. But now she is face to face with Yamapi's character, it's going to give her shades of grey.

Kurosagi desperately needs to care about someone but he won't let himself and life keeps reaffirming his isolation (see the heartbreaking stuff with former friend in ep 2) so it's really good for him to have Tsurara. It hasn't even anything to do with romantic stuff. He needs someone, even if only (for now) as a friend.

Oh yes, I am about to do a write-up on ep 2, but that really was the ep that completed my enslavement to this drama. It's just such a stark contrast between what his life is and what he wants no matter how much he denies it: companionship and normalcy.

I really must watch Nobuta now. And anything else Yamapi was in, too.

think he's having problems accepting that and he's very wary of her, understandably, because of what else has happened in his life

Oh yes. I love the scene where he lets his guard down just the tiniest bit, when she asks him about his parents and it's not even that he answers her but it's probably the first time anyone really asked, anyone he felt any connection with, that is, and that little thing is enough to put all his walls up. Ouch. He just might be the most damaged dorama hero out there, and that's rather impressive.

Kurosagi? Intensity? Incredible OTP?? I am definitely going to be there, just after I can recover from my ALTK crush. ( But I am getting more and more involved every day )

I love the crying icon. I would love to make one of crying Bokgu if I knew how to do animations. I will probably look around in tutorials

It's very very good and just wonderfully acted and scripted and everything.

The OTP is very full of UST so there won't be full blown romantic confessions or similar. But OMG. They are such an OTP. Even two eps in.

Oh, you need to watch "Kurosagi". It's the most romantic OTP drama I've ever seen that isn't actually a romance drama

I think this is what is drawing me in - I was really crazy about Mulder/Scully OTP/UST in "X-files" (oh, well, up to the point until it all went on for too long).

I have got "Nobuta wo produce" recently as well and was going to watch it first, but I am getting to be very inklined towards "Kurosagi". Everybody seems to be reccomending it. And thank you!!!!!!

He has an incredible case of survivor's guilt. Probably compounded by the fact that he is a swindler which is something he loathes so much even if it is for revenge. And he buys info from the guy who is responsible for his family's demise?

That's one of my favorite layers to this series, that he is so consumed with wanting to destroy all swindlers that he becomes one himself. And is taught everything he knows by the person who orchestrated the swindle that destroyed his family and his life, which MAKES him a swindler. And the picture with his face scratched out? OMG. I think it's because he can't look at HIMSELF when he has become what he is - even though he's doing it to destroy them and help other people (even though he claims to be only out for revenge), and he also can't face the 'him' that was so happy in that picture, when he is SO not a happy guy...

I think with every swindle he pulls he feels worse and worse. And yet there is no exit for him, not unless he moves from the horrible headspace he is and gives this up. But he can't because it has defined who he is for so long and it means he would have become the thing he hates most for nothing.

But there is no future in this. Sooner or later it's jail or worse.

And the twisted thing with the 'mentor?' Whoa.
