A bit of everything...

1. So, Park Shi Hoo is going to be indicted for rape. The thing that continues to boggle me is the attitude (even among people who are not "oppa has no flaw and has been framed" fangirl crown, but people who believe he had sex with an unconscious woman) I see everywhere of "he made a bad call, but he is not a bad person." Ummmm - he raped someone. ( Read more... )

Mousie,

I'm glad you're posting more about k-dramas. I've been lurking here because I love your writing style.

On Tumblr, I can only lurk but not comment :P

-I wasn't looking to Gu Family Book, but I think I'm going to check it out because the trailer does look awesome!

-I'm also incredibly excited about the news of Park Shin-hye joining Heirs. I like her and I love him. So it's a win win for me in terms of casting. But oy, this casting news apparently generates a lot of heated debates over at Dramabeans. And the funny part is that we know absolutely nothing about the story or their characters. I hope this show is good, but I'm trying very hard to lower my inflated hope since I've been burnt before with LMH-Son Ye-jin pairing. Loved them both, but PT story felt flat ( ... )

I loved Prosecutor Princess and have no problem rewatching it, too.

PSH/LMH = Mousie's casting dream.

Your first point: I would go blind with rage if I read people saying "he made a bad call, but he's not a bad person" over a rape. I hope this actor gets just retribuitions over this.

I'm with you on the utter happiness over the Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye combination of acting forces in the upcoming Heirs. I've only just begun sporadically chowing
down on Flower Boy Next Door, but I really like her in it. She plays vulnerability really well, and i find her to be completely gorgeous to look at.

Strangely, the thing that gets me the moxt excited about Gu Family Book is the prospect of SJ and his yawline. Everything looks really promising, but that jawline is the most beautiful thing about it I've seen yet.

Mmmm, Sung Joon. Who should I root for - him or the puppy? Oh, decisions decisions!

The Park Shi Hoo thing just makes me feel sick. And then the drunken scene in Episode 7 of You're the Best-Lee Soon Shin squicked me out because it hit too close to the same scenario. (Even though I'm pretty sure the drama scene will turn out to be a misunderstanding.)

So happy about the OTP in Heirs. Maybe we'll finally get a decent kissing scene out of PSH, too! ;)

Gu Family Book has me terrified. I don't think I've ever watched a true sageuk since I don't think Arang really counts. And the beginning looks so horribly angsty, I expect the later story to get quite angsty, too. But it'll be a ride I enjoy, nevertheless!

I think it would take a miracle for PSH to kiss OK on screen. Still, combo of costar and writer - you never know :)

Park Shi Hoo thing drove me nuts and vowed not to speak of it again....yet here I am. I do think that it's not that netiizens are defending him against being a rapist, but rather that it's a very high possibility that the girl, how do they call them in Korean - a schemer set out to bring Park Shi Hoo down? I don't actually think thats the case (CCTV showing him carrying her to his apartment is a pretty unambiguous evidence right there) but there is also the possibility that the girl is being slanderous, which in that case would make me feel bad for Park Shi Hoo, but not quite, since I also think that he was acting recklessly regardless of whether he is innocent or not.

Also, Mousie, I implore you - use http://www.goodreads.com/ to track your bookish adventures so that we could follow you more easily! I'm very curious as to what your favorite novels are and what you are reading now/planning to read.

I'm SO glad GFM looks like it's going to be awesome! I haven't been able to finish a K-drama in ages (or even be interested in one) and GFB could be the one that pulls me out of my slump. I'm with you re-parents, though. I wish less time would be spent on them. It looks like we'll get at least 3 episodes about them. But with any luck, it'll be some good stuff. Let's cross fingers.

And PSH + LMH! *Squee* I'll be watching that K-drama as well. I loved Secret Garden and enjoyed A Gentleman's Dignity (never warmed up to most of the characters though) so chances are I'll like this one. According to rumors, it does sound like it could be a BBF II, only at university. I'm on board.

Ok. Back to reading the Emperor's Edge series now!

I've finished the series and I'm now chomping at the bit to read book 6. Luckily, the author said she was finished with it and it only has to go through the editing process (don't you love self-published authors?).

I can't wait to read Sicarius's point of view. Should be... interesting!

But if I had one bone to pick with the series, it would be that it's too full of over-the-top and highly improbable action scenes. It's clear that it's what the author wants to write but I wouldn't have minded a little less action and a bit more character development.

I tend to skim the action scenes :)
