I watched the first three episodes this weekend and posted my thoughts at my journal. I'm really enjoying it: it's perfect writing, directing, acting. The story is much more complicated and layered than the 2006 film or the Japanese drama its based on. (At least from what I've seen) I honestly think Young may get her sight back, as we've seen that she's seeing shapes and colors. Plus, they mentioned the tumor and in the film, that played a role.
I heard the raves about this show, so I checked it out. I believe this might be the rare melo that I can enjoy because the fantastic cast, cinematography and writing can overcome my extreme distaste for melo. That is, if the writing maintains its quality and doesn't go to hell in a handbasket.
I wasn't planning on checking out this drama. It sounded slow and heavy, esp. since I've been re-watching Spartacus, which is action-packed and very fast paced. But I think you've convinced me I should try it. After all, you can't go wrong with Kim Bum. Is it just me or does he seem to get prettier with every new drama he's in?

He is pretty and a good actor.
It doesn't feel slow, though obviously not as action-packed as Spartacus.
