I LOVE Naevia's arc this season. I love how she turns her pain and trauma into a rage that she can use.

There isn’t any of the “but you don’t need to, I will be around to protect you” (in part because that’s proven impossible before) or even “it’s too hard for you” or anything.

Yessssss. How awesomely feminist of Crixus. He wants to empower her, not just protect or shelter her. And he respects her enough to let her work through her trauma in the ways that she needs to. He doesn't want or ask her to become the Naevia she was; even though she's transforming into someone, someone new, he's willing to love her as whatever or whoever she is. Seriously, it's ridiculous how romantic and perfect they are. As for Crixus dying at the end of the series, I don't think there's any way Naevia would let him go down without her. After all they've been through, they're either going down together or not at all. (I vote for not at all, but there's a ice cube's chance in hell that that will happen on this show.)

That was the best ending to an episode ( ... )

Gannicus is awesome. I am more of a Crixus gal because I love my dudes gritted-teeth intense, but I would relax my rules for Gannicus :)

I agree, I occasionally felt even for the villains (except for Batiatus - I always just hated him), which is hugely unusual for me.

I do wonder if Spartacus would have acted differently vis-a-vis Ilythiya if he knew she was the one responsible for Varro.

Crixus = best feminist boyfriend ever. I am 100% he is dead by the end of the show, so all I hope is that he and Naevia go out together, taking as many Romans with them as they can.
