I'm rewatching FAITH right now :) And it is still as exciting and wonderful as the first time around :) But it is a tough choice .. FAITH or QIHM ... I'd say first QIHM and then FAITH :)
I recommend a mini-tour of QIHM - I just had a whirlwind rewatch and it was gorgeous to watch and I just adore the progress of the OTP but the surrounding stuff was a bit tedious this time around (the modern-day best friend, etc).
The a major Faith re-run - for all its faults a re-watch of Faith is great fun - much more meaty AND more than one gorgeous relationship unfolding and politics and plots.
Yes, even the first time around, I found the modern friend and the ex booooooring. I am sure I will skip them this time around. Faith has secondary characters I care for more, so your plan makes sense.
I recommend QIHM because Faith is still so fresh in my memory that I think I would cry myself to sleep if I revisited CY, ES, GM and NG right now. It would be too painful for me, but if you can do it more power to you. Please let your fans know which you decide on and please, please write your impressions of your revisit. Good luck :-) !
