It really doesn't help that Sung Joon eerily resembles Bolin Chen. And Jung So Min does have the girl-next-door vibe a la Ariel Lin (but she mostly looks like Yoon Eun Hye). OK, I was even (pleasantly) surprised that they are an age appropriate pairing. Somethin' is wrong with Kdrama pairing these days.
lol I couldn't help having Lie To Me flashbacks when I looked at JSM and SJ together, she looks SO like a baby Yoon Eun Hye down to the hair colour YEH had in that drama! She's def. one of the most talented under-25s around today, any other actress would have made me want to slaughter her character in Playful Kiss but she somehow sold that whole drama and its daft, nice little slice-of-life premise. And she and her hottie brother Kim Jae Wook were the best part of Bad Guy for me
( ... )
I skimmed it raw then watched again when Dramafever got subs. So funny when his chef friend says "dessert is killer" when you know what's coming. They are too cute as a couple. And I agree, very realistic.
i dont know with you guys.but for me,i fvcking love this pairing.never thought that they will be a couple on screen.i thought that i will feel awkward watching this two since im not very familiar with the character, but im wrong.the 1st ep was already catch my heart.they seems like a couple who dated for 3 yers.goshh!!and the kiss, thanks cable drama.love you!!for me,this drama is very interesting and make me as a viewer excited to watch the another ep.ep 2 was allready out but no sub and again,,gahh,,i dont know, maybe i just fall in love with this drama.they were too sweet and i also like the other couple like dong bi and ki joong.i hope this drama will be a success :)
Just watched ep.2 which i think is even better than ep.1. They have such a great chemistry and the relationship is so realistic and i love the way she challenges her mum. As for the elder sister, i mean what do you expect from a man who cheated on his wife with you...I feel sorry for DB(the friend) i do understand why she loves that jerk... Sung Joon is too cute. Am in love with this drama, it just has a different vibe from all the other k-dramas
It was pitch-perfect throughout. I plan to do a rewatch at a slower speed so I can actually post impressions and caps. One of my all-time favorite dramas.

It's sad that I get pleasantly shocked to see a young actor paired with a young actress. That's not right.

Yeah, age appropriate happens all the time when the male lead is 28+ but before that, it's too much noona romance for my tastes.

Re: older sister. I agree. There's a saying 'if he cheats with you, he will cheat on you' and their relationship is a living proof.
I too can see why the friend loves the jerk (he IS scrumptuous) - it's realistic even if it drives me nuts.
It all feels very indie.
And SJ/JSM are so precious together.
