Thank you for sharing these pics and your thoughts. I had thought about watching both eps back to back tomorrow, but I just couldn't stay away and now it is half past 2 AM and I'm moping around and crying and all I can think of is that this will end so tearfully. I'm a mess but your words, they calmed me somewhat.
I always seem to pick series where my heart is torn out - it all started with Robin of Sherwood when I was at school, then at university it Space: Above And Beyond and now this. THIS is the reason why I usually stick to watching no live-airing dramas so I know the ending beforehand, my poor heart can't take it.
And Dol Bae, my other favourite Woodalchi. It seems writer-nim not only tears and mutilates of my heart with the OTP, she also stomps upon the remains of it with killing off my Woodalchi babies one by one.
Oh, wow, you were another RoS fan? I still remember having bona fide hysterics when Michael Praed's Robin died. Decades later I rewatched it and Mr. Mousie had to console me because my hysterics were as strong as ever.
Yeah, I prefer knowing the ending beforehand but I have too little patience too wait.
I have some hope for the ending - the poison seems to have gone and that was always the worst threat...
Oh, wow, you were another RoS fan? Oh yes .. me and my best friend we rushed home after school and watched every freaking week and when MP's Robin died I was unconsolable for weeks if not months. It was that series that initially gave me the idea to write a sob story about a medieval knight turned wolf head capturing a woman from the future to save his love interest only to fall for that woman instead. I had time slips and all ... I wonder if I can find that note books with that story.
When the DVD of RoS came out I re-watched it and I was also bawling my eyes out. His Hubbiness was totally confused because he only experienced this with my S:AAB craze.

Another thing about them? The easy intimacy of touch. I love that about them too. This episode made me cry so much again. I just hope the drama will pay back all of these tears it got from me with a really happy ending. I don't care if it doesn't make sense. I just want them together. Like really together. No strings attached.
and he will make her laugh, though "I have no confidence" to know how - oh, he is so open with her. Aaaaw. Just as long as they're together, I'm sure ES is already very very happy.
snaps "Yoo Eun Soo. Escort me." Heeee. The big bad general needing ES' escort :) Hee. I think I had the same reaction as ES. Lol. So cute. And I really love the Woodalchi shippers. But the writer clearly wants us to suffer all the way through the end. :(
He asks her what she likes, as if trying to learn every last thing about her in the limited time together. ...he puts his hand on her shoulder, in mute yet eloquent answer. He may be fishing too. ES likes you, you big lug. I'm seriously melting in all of their scenes together.

I love that it's clear to everyone from Woodalchi shippers to the bad guys that for CY, ES comes above everything. That is what happens when you give a man with nothing to live for a reason to live.
I am fine with the kisses we got. Would I like more? Sure, I am not insane. But it's already more than I expected in a sageuk.
I love how he understands CY completely now. That ES is not just any woman for him. She's extraordinary and we all agree.
Yes. Every last character in this is a shipper (and how much did I love that there was no love triangle/quadrangle etc in this. Just CY and ES and their love).
I love that he's the one who wants to hold her hand now. Hee. But ES is afraid he'll notice her slight fever. :( And ohgod, the hug. Can they hug more? They just need each other so much.
It's like your comment about his touching her hair - he cannot stop touching her. He has all this deep unused well of tenderness and care and he is spending it all on her.

I really love that it's all about the love between them. Coz I have really been tired of the same old recipe for most Kdramas. Sometimes, in the end, it's more about which guy can win over the girl and lots of angst angst angst that sometimes gets so repetitive rather than a journey on how two people fall in love and how they try everything to protect and cherish that love. It is so refreshing.

Yes, I am sure I will love plenty of sageuks in the future (they are my favorite genre after all), but to find one so swoonily romantic - that's a tough order.
I love that there was no triangle/quadrangle/octagon/whatever. I hate those. I want committed couples facing the world...
multiply that for a thousand and you get my feeling right now!
OMG!! This episode was beyond perfect!! The way he looks at her... my favorite scene is when she drinks the poison and then later, when he holds her... I've no words for the perfection of this. This drama is playing with my feelings..
I caaaan't. I had this huge fear that ES would die watching this episode and it actually never crossed my mind this entire time. I thought she might go back but die? No, never. So when she took that poison I was about to lose it. I really hope that ending means that the fever broke and she's out of the woods because I couldn't take it if she dies. What it would do to Choi ... He'd just go with her.

The way he brushes her hair, and holds her, and cools her down through the night - this is sheer perfection.

Yes, if she died, it's clear he'd die too.
