The Great Seer - initial impressions

1. I watched the first episode of the 36-ep Ji Sung sageuk The Great Seer and the verdict is...hmmmmm. It's certainly better than The Horse Doctor, which I found an utter snoozefest, but I can't say I am particularly enthused. Here are my three problems with it, from smallest to biggest

I'm totally into The Great Seer. Mainly because Ji Jin Hee has a Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat voice. And because he is darned super primal sexy here. In Daejang Geum and Dong Yi, he was sweet and gentle and gentle and gentle, but meh. Here, he's mad, bad, and dangerous to know. Yet really loyal and honorable in his own way. And then mad, bad, and dangerous to know again. He's totally crazy here. Loves it. I think I shall regret his being tamed.

JJH is the only reason I haven't decided to dump this outright - I wish the whole drama was about a tribal chieftain running around.
