I'm watching this episode now and it is so great - if only for the OTPs.
iviih, historically they had no child. They were married for fifteen years before, Queen Nogook became pregnant, (side not, probably why ES told Dr. Jang to give her meds for pregnancy) Nogook died during the child birth in 1365. After her death, King Gongmin became indifferent to politics. He took up religious affairs, became mentally unstable, and according to some historical records began "chasing" and having sexual relationships with the young men that were in his personal guard.
I spend so much energy on those recaps that I don't have to time to savor these moments so I come here, mousie, to relive the passion of that moment. You read these scenes so well! Thank you!
I thought he looked panicked when ES said she's figured out what was written in the diary. And then apprehension and disappointment mixed in together when he was asking the time and date. And then slight relief when she said it might not be that at all... You can see him warring with himself. A part of him wants her to stay, to keep her with him but he knows she belongs in heaven. And despite his feelings for her, he's still the honorable man. He'll still risk everything to bring her back to her world. :( And the way he's staring at her, devouring her, taking her in. It's like he knows there isn't much time left.
Yes. I really want him to throw honor to the winds and beg her to stay, but then he wouldn't be the man we know and love. It will be up to her to pick to stay, otherwise he wouldn't be able to deal with his guilt.
Keysmashkeysmashkeysmaaaash. A hug is making me want to cry. What has this drama done to me?
I was screaming 'hug her! So help me, if you don't, I'll crawl into the screen and strangle you! Ditto. Dying with you. I'm glad that they didn't make CY just stand there. Coz he has savor every moment with her! I love that he strokes her hair. He strooookes it. I don't want to say how many time's I've rewatched this episode. This scene reminded me of the time he went to KC's place to take her away. When she saw him standing there and softly whispered, "Psycho." Ahhhh. It's like this time there's no stopping the feelings. Coz everything has changed between them. Wah.
Hahaha. His face also cracked me up. He doesn't think it's funny. Lol. Of course he wouldn't. I love them.
he is so embarassed and didn't even notice and the fact that he didn't until she snarked, is hugeYes, yes. They are married!!! No one can deny that. It's canon. And yes, the way he just took her bowl of soup!! Hee. And the way she eyes it longingly the whole time. Lol.
( ... )
I know, the screen is just paper! Smash it! Make her moan because something nicer than poison!
Yes to bath makeouts - I mean, you need to cool her down, CY! Or maybe warm her up. I don't care which as long as it involves half-dressed cuddles in water.

I love that historical dramas do this to us.
Normal Kdramas: They just hugged and then kissed their cheeks? Whaaaat? So Lame (May queen kekeke)
Historical dramas: They just stared to each other and auhshsiahjsoiaohsjasoahsha, and they hugged! Omo, I died! XD lol lol
And LOL at this ''Ummm, they clearly did it, PJs and all. ILY, secondary OTP!''
Yeah I thought the same! A heir is coming! (not sure if in real history they had children...)

LOLOL so true. I still remember hyperventilating over this scene in Legend more than I did about any makeout (QIHM excepted) in any modern kdrama:
