I DIED from this episode. Seriously, my ghost is typing this at this very moment because I just couldn't take this episode. That scene where she holds his hand is hands down one of my favorite scenes in anything ever. I mean it has Inception-like layers of shippyness. First she's holding his hand, but then he also has that adorable startled look on his face, AND THEN HE BRUSHES HER HAIR BACK, AND SHE'S CRYING!!!!! AND THEN SHE WARMS UP HIS HAND WITH HER BREATH. I...I..I think I'm gonna swoon, dangermousie.
This is pretty much the most perfect shippy thing ever, and to think it's not even a romance drama...
First she's holding his hand, but then he also has that adorable startled look on his face, AND THEN HE BRUSHES HER HAIR BACK, AND SHE'S CRYING!!!!! AND THEN SHE WARMS UP HIS HAND WITH HER BREATH.
Yes, this! YES OMFG.. And she is totally under his shields despite his feeble earlier attempts to take his hand away. Ohhhhh. You know, I think except for her, nobody has touched him (literally) for years. I love how they are so emotionally open there and...OK, need to rewatch.
After all this happy and shippy ep, I fear for the next one ... Argh I want it over already and a happily living ever after and at the same time I never want this to end. If they do not give us a happy ending with this I will forever live in denial!!!!
He only got 6 out of 7 assassins at the end (and washed his hands from the blood, which is huge ES influence) so there is still one left and he is so exhausted as his injuries are catching up with him, so I am worried too! But hopefully that means ES gets to nurse him back to health? YES PLEASE.
Squee. I don't think I've stopped rolling on my floor ever since episode 11.
When he yelled at her for putting her life in danger, you can see it was driving him crazy. I can't imagine what will happen to CY when he loses ES. (Must stop this train of thought.) And when ES basically said he's such a jerk for never thinking how she would feel when he's gone... Oh, god. Why are they so perfect? Ohmygooooood. I lovelovelove how she gently took his hand in hers. I so love those shots. I am having a thing for their hands, I can't believe it. It's just so tender, so gentle, so intimate!
and then she starts breathing on it, to warm it up, still holding it between her hands, In period drama, this is equivalent of oral!I will take your word for it. CY's expression! His expression. You know, the hands thing could be the new kissing. They're all about wrist-grabbing and hand-holding. I mean, it is what you normally see in dramas but with them, it gets more meaningful. But I want real kissesssss. I melted when he tucked her hair behind her ear
( ... )
The thing is, the way things stand now, I cannot see any scenario where he is going to lose her, whether to enemies or to her going back - because the drama established that he literally has a deathwish without her and obviously CY does not die in his twenties.
The hand thing is amazing - I bet nobody touched him tenderly in years - he is almost panicking. And you are right, she fixes his body but it's her fixing of his soul that is more important.
I don't think he was sulking - more like wary and puzzled and a little nervous because with ES you never know :)
I am kinda afraid that the drama would make it like he's finally learned from ES that living is the most important thing, so even if ES has to leave him, he'll take it to heart and still live for her. Because it's what she would want. That he'd grow to be an old legendary general. So, noooo. Let ES stay or CY go back with her to the modern world. Right now, I just want them to end up together. Lol.
I still can't get over their hands. I just love the close-up shots. I can't help it. I've rewatched it already.
I'm so happy she keeps him on his toes. Lol. Remembers the scene where he's talking to the Suribang couple. And they're like "Why are you grinning like a fool?" I bet ES is the reason. He's so giddy it's adorable.
I can see how the drama would make that (when he was talking about how she lives, at the end of the ep, could be foreshadowing) but I don't want that. Noooo!
I love seeing him giddy, it is such a ridiculously rare sight.
They are so so married!! They should just make it official. The way CY tried to stop her by grabbing her hand. CY's learning. So I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before we get to him using his lips instead? Lol. Because he is basically no match for ES. The way he was just speechless at the end. Lol. I love their height difference. It's so perfect. I love Aunt's expression. Like, is this really my nephew? Lol
( ... )
She needs to stay in the past - I'd prefer he went to the future but we know it won't happen. Just as well, everything in 21st century would be so alien to him and it would take some time to train him out of reacting to every threat with violence (but OTOH, he won't have to kill ever again. I totally want fic where she introduces him to the modern world, including shower makeouts :P
( ... )
I kinda get what you mean. I mean, right now CY doesn't even bother to learn the "words from heaven". Like how ES wanted him to say "partner". Though I guess he was worried about its meaning so his head wasn't in it at that time. Hohmoygod. Shower makeouts. And when ES has taught him that wonderful world, he'd be the one pulling her into the shower every time after that. Lol. Where are the fiiiics?
Yeah, it's him she is more concerned about. That brave face she put on. She's learned when you lose in this world, it means dying. So I guess she wasn't totally against him teaching her with handling the knife. Self-defense and all. So the drama better let us seeeee! Because hey, more skinship. It's going to be hot, I just know it.
Yes, yes. I want more h/c as well. But I don't want him to be unconscious again. Lol. And maybe the CPR thing will come up. And CY will ask ES to take responsibility for it. And then they'll get married. Lol. I think there's not a part of him ES hasn't touched so I guess it's reasonable. Lol.
OMG, this episode almost killed me. One second I'm dying of laughter, the next I'm all hearts and everyting. I love it so much, I love all the characters, I love all the OTPs, every single character even the really minor ones are fleshed out so perfectly (the servant! Bwaah!) and this drama is so alive, it's unbelievable. And then Eun-soo says all the words I wanted to say to Choi Young. Thank you, thank you, thank you
I loved how ES gets CY and gets what she needs to say to him and yet it's not a trick to manipulate him, she is sincere in her feelings, it's just those feelings happen to be exactly what he needs.
Yes and that is so, so amazing. And it is awesome that she can tell him and that he listens and takes her serious. Plus I LOVE this whole partner business. She is not just someone one can drag around and he has finally learned that.
If you think about it, both Gongmin and CY started this drama by treating their OTP a bit like things - no volition recognized. (Though CY was infinitely more respectful) but by now they know to treat them as equals.
