Yes, am still watching Vigilantes in Masks - I realize it is glacially slow, but I watch it with Mr. Mousie, and coordinating our schedules to watch things together always takes time :)
I remember some nice shippiness in this show. Most of it's flown from my head because it's kind of a breezy thing, but the shippy moments were a lot of fun. And Sanniang was cooler than just about anybody.
The narrative treatment of the wife in the backstory pretty much ruined the series for me, even though there were some very good bits after that. Of the 2 wuxias I watched last year, I ended up preferring Paladins in Troubled times, though I'd expected to prefer Yi Zhi Mei.
ETA: Was it you who was looking for the 2005 Lotus Lantern with Vincent Jiao? If so you can get it from netflix. I'm 20 episodes in. It's pretty fun, though the parts with the human characters aren't nearly as interesting as the parts with the gods for a good while, though that's picking up now that there've been a couple time jumps and they've grown up a lot. It's very obviously one of TaiSeng's earlier wuxia translations, given the awful-yet-still-readable subs.
Can't comment about the wife yet because am only one ep into backstory (the recklessly righteous is not my type but she or the narrative doesn't bother me too much so far. But we'll see).
