1. Have not yet seen this week's Bridal Mask so do not spoil me (staying away from tumblr). Am waiting for 720p :)

2. The upcoming City Conquest sounds like nightmare on a stick - it has the director of IRIS and is based on a manga about vengeance that sounds very much up my alley BUT not only does it have more wooden than a tree Kim Hyun Joong as ( Read more... )

I would enjoy so much if YS wants to you have sex with DJ but this time around he is going to hold a bit just to make YS suffer a bit. Kekekekeke

But seeing how DJ is, not possible! LOL

I would totally go for that but you know that if YS gave him the go-ahead, clothes would be off in about five seconds flat.

Speaking of excited, Kim Young Chul is joining Nice Guy as Moon Chae Won's father/husband to Park Shi Yeon/guy who PSY ditched Song Joong Ki for. He played MCW's Dad in one of my all-time faves, The Princess' Man - clearly he is gunning for a 'MCW's Dad who is hated by her love' niche.

He's always been a fixture but on the heels of TPM and Equator Man (also Wed-Thurs dramas on KBS), feeling a little overloaded. Excellent actor but we (I and a few others) were hoping for a different face. Still, there's a reason he keeps getting hired and it's interesting that in this case, it's a limited appearance (up to ep. 6 or so). Where does that leave Park Shi-Yeon's character ([spoiler]who apparently marries the Dad b/c she's pg with his kid) and does that mean the focus will be the triangle (SJK-MCW-PSY). Might explain tho why PSY signed up for this, when she passed on Equator.

Hmmm, I did not know that. Interesting! I like PSY - she started out abysmal but she is quite good by now.

Whut, PSY is the second female lead who'd play Song Joong Ki's former ex?! That is... a weird, weird pairing, not to mention it is just strange for MCW to get first billing over her. The latter is still an up-and-coming young actress, while PSY's skills are considerably more honed. Then again, maybe the weirdness of pairing PSY with SJK is part of the reason why - there's such a clear age-gap, and PSY's a really tall lady while SJK is... not so tall. I think he only has about 8cm on her.

Sure tall isn't the reason why PSH is billed as second female lead. She will be paired with 1st lead's dad, so the age difference shouldn't be too huge with the dad (although it's still HUGE) haha.

Earlier on.. there's an article about KBS new marketing strategic. They're using young actors with acting potentials to break the market. i.e. the right now airing, Bridal Mask.
Right now in Korea, both SJK and MCW are very popular as young rising stars :)

By the way, clairiere, may I know where you get the info about Kim Young Chul will only star for 6 eps only?

But PSY is not a successful leading lady (one can dispute whether she was a leading lady in Slingshot and Coffee House, but in any event those were ratings failures even though good dramas) and MCW, whose last drama was TPM, a hit, in which she was the lead. So I do think it makes sense.

As to ages, I think it's because PSY is between SJK and her husband's ages. She is older than SJK (who is also baby-faced) and looks older though, agreed. We'll see whether it will work.

Exactly. Thanks for pointing that out mousie.

For those who can read Korean, can read this article of the analysis of the upcoming Wed-Thurs dramas' heroines.. to get the better idea of the stars power in Korea http://isplus.joinsmsn.com/article/002/8529002.html?cloc=
It's understandable for MCW to be the 1st lead for KBS drama after the last year hit which was also a KBS drama.

Since last February, before the official announcement was made in April, the rumor was already spreading about her and SJK's pairing.

EunJung (Dream High, Coffee House) might be cast as the main girl in Five Fingers. Is it mean to hope that she doesn't end up with Joo Ji Hoon just to see her fans get pissed off on soompi?

I enjoyed Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, just the last episode were boring & lame like a wooden boat. That drama makes little sense but it is hillarious funny. Something like Sweet 18. Dramas you watch and gives you a good mood. Nothing real angsty oder getting too much attached to.

Agreed, the show was beyond hilarious. How can you go wrong with toilet humor ;). I thought the ending was a pretty good twist on the beginning. It was a good show to chill with that didn't cause to much pull either way for me, but there was a time that it confused me (and a lot of folks) when trying to figure out age and etc. It will be good ;).

Which reminds me have you seen the sequel to the 3 MSC? I watched the first one (after reading your post about it), and I was wondering if you had thoughts on the new movie (I watched it without a translation, so I know a little, but not all).
