Ahhh, nothing like a doomed ship to wallow in!

Why do I not have any Bu Bu Jing Xin icons? (Ah, cdramas. Overall, much as I enjoy Korean period dramas, nothing does it for me like period cdramas - they fit me ideally in terms of structure, pacing, approach.)

Checking out Huan Zhu Ge Ge, which is harmless dumb fun, made me crave a quality Qing story and, because I have no sense of self- ( Read more... )

I have no idea how trustworthy this interview not long ago was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0CjIDPndb4, the reporter said Kevin mentioned he'll be filming BBJX2 in Oct 2012 (yet Kevin was just chatting on rumor of his skyrocketing asking price). Nicky has been asked constantly and he hasn't let out a definitely yes. TR's ladyboss has leaked it's a go for a few times now, but her words have less value than TP. Imo BBJX2 is very likely, how much $$$ the milkcow is generating for everyone involved is not easy to look away. I hope it's a modern drama, just more likely the now much more famous cast will be able to work around their schedules than allotting months off bald.

Ooooh, thanks.

Tbh, I'd rather they left BBJX alone and did something else (not big on sequel) but modern-day BBJX I can live with.

"hitting myself over the head with a hammer for entertainment."

Yes this is always fun, but I think I'll just stick to weeping over tv shows :)

A lot of stories I've seen from Mainland China are really, *really* good at creating an atmosphere of almost recklessly repressed, hopeless love. Somehow the passion that breathes through such restraint is more intense than open expression. I don't know why that is. I still wasn't expecting Bu Bu Jing Xin to be as involving as it was.

Yes - I love when dramas are that restrained and yet the feelings get across. BBJX was 90% glances and it was still so ridiculously romantic.

Still trying to get over the depression BBJX put me in. I tried reading the book soon after finishing the drama but the emotions go too intense. I'd be interested in a BBJX2 if it wasn't set in Qing Dynasty though and set in modern times. It'd be cool if Zhang Xiao meets the princes in a similar time in modern era but brings her knowledge of their past incarnations so it would work in reverse since in BBJX she had future knowledge of them.

That sounds like a wonderful idea. I want them to do that!

I am rewatching BBJX and seriously...shivers.

KSH is not my thing (I don't dislike him either though) but the plot of Moon sounds ridiculous amount of fun.
