1. Argh!!!! My big order from Amazon, full of Brit chick lit I was craving, was sent to the wrong address (my fault) and now I have to reorder and argghghghghghghghhgghhgh I want it now! I was never good at patience. I reordered from Alibris and now it will get here by Dec 14 but I want those books now! Especially Tash/Hugo ones. Boooo ( Read more... )

OMG, Georgette Heyer reference with These Old Shades. <3! I love the sequel, Devil's Cub, too!

Also, for a good book that uses this trope but is fantasy, have you read Lois McMaster Bujold's Curse of Chalion?

Also, I wish someone would just compile the Bridget/Andrew moments in Ringer. It would make watching it so much easier. I don't care about anyone else.

I loooove TOS and DC. Avon's proposal to Leonie is one of my favorite romantic moments ever. Ahhhh. Why did nobody ever make movie out of it?

I love Bujold's Miles books but Curse of Chalion didn't click with me. Seeing it has that trope though, I am going to give it another chance.

Now I have to re-read Curse of Chalion. I just finished marathoning Ringer and OMG, shipping Bridget/Andrew sooo much! I hope Andrew starts figuring stuff out since I don't want him to accidentally cheat on his 2nd wife the way he apparently did with Siobhan on his first wife. Also, doesn't help Bridget's whole stance of trying to right wrongs with Siobhan as a misguided attempt to redeem herself for her dead sister. Who apparently really isn't and I don't think they can write their way out of redeeming Siobhan's character... Also, no Ringer fanfiction to tide me over for December. :(

Henry Cavill is gorgeous!!! I have been liking him for years now and nobody knew about him and now my baby is growing up and becoming famous! I'm so proud of him! ;p

The lightning/church scene is one of my favorites in the anime :) Haruhi is really pretty! Not sure about Tamaki, though.
