I just watched the first episode too, had pretty much the same reaction as you Dangermouise. I didn't feel much emotion connection, except I liked the main girl Ae Jung, she's nice, but not spineless.
I think I like it more already than MGIAG. And yeah, it's funny even if you don't know the k-pop references, but it's even more fun once you do. Dramabeans did a good job of pointing these out in her recaps.
Oh, and I want to see where the Hong sisters go with the whole heart thing, as Dokko Jin is pretty heartless right now.
Man, I feel like some Kingdom Hearts right now, haha!
Ah just finished the first episode as well! It's been awhile since i've seriously laughed at a romcom. However, Dokko has done it!
and OMG. i just realized that a WHOLE SLEW of romcoms concerning rich/famous/cold male leads with cute/poor/down on luck/etc. female leads came out or are going to come out!
it's like watching the same romcom in many different versions almost!
