You guys, you guys, I was totally sniffling

This scene in ep 45 is total killer, with YK telling MNC all his fears and issues (his telling her that he was lied to from childhood and as soon as he reached adulthood he started lying in his turn, and if he stopped lying now he wouldn't even know who he was - heartbreaking) and that he's not worthy of her love and trust and her response (and at ( Read more... )

That priestly idiot is THE Villain for me and he's so loopy out of it as to all his moronic shiz. Lost for words.

Don't you love though we are in tune with what NC's going through as insane as she is?! We might have given up on YK way before she did, but being this hardcore tough loyal girl, she knows if she gave up on YK, any resemblance of him as a man is lost forever and since she's lived with that innocent him before all the shiz hit fan, we absolutely can follow why she's this crippling soft spot towards him...and us too, in another ep or 2, we'll be crying our eyes and lungs out for his poor soul.

I have to say, most parental figures in this are awful. GJ's Six Teachers are worse than useless and are kinda abusive. Only someone as saintly as GJ could love them. I won't even go into OYF and WH's parenting attitudes and Papa Yang wasn't anything to write home about. Huang Yaoshi is about the best father in this - all he did was spoil his daughter.

Yes, I can see why she holds on - not only all those reasons you put so well, but also he's always been good to her, no matter what (with possible exception of OYK thing) so she can continue loving him in part because she knows how much she means to him.

I don't want him to die! I don't care if it will screw up ROCH. I am sure YG would prefer to grow up with loving parents and not have his horrid childhood. I love me some YG/XLN and that would not happen in my scenario, but that's OK, I can sacrifice them for poor YK/MNC.

I'm guessing that she's still fast, but how do you miss a badly wounded guy who isn't putting up a fight and hit a pregnant woman. Is the priest just really incompetent?

Clearly. He sort of fails at life in general. He also wasn't expecting anyone to be there to interfere which is also idiotic because he tracked the guy down to his fighter girlfriend's home!

He tracked him down to somebody else's house and thought he would be alone?
That doesn't even make sense at all. What, did he think he was house sitting?

ROFL. Maybe he didn't think his pregnant gf would mind as he murdered her OTP in front of her? He seriously is not the brightest as before his little attempt, he spent all this time railing at the guy - who was at the grave of his parents - that his parents would totally be pleased when he slit their only kid's throat for being an ebil ebil traitor. WTF! Somehow I don't think so. Yeah, sure they'd be pissed at their son. But somehow I think they'd be even more pissed when someone offed him! (For goodness' sake, the kid's mom was married to Traitor N1, aka the guy's stepdaddy, for decades, and brought up her kid to believe he was traitor's son and that traitor's kin group was the right on in the civil war one blah blah. I think she'd be a bit flexible on the issue).

Did the Priest actually know the parents or is it just all about Daddy?

Because I'm watching Sword Stained with Royal Blood right now and while I really like it, the fact that the Emperor had the main character's father killed comes up all the time, and he (and his father's men, but they're understandable) talks about avenging his father but the fact that his mother and the rest of the entire family were killed too, almost never comes up.

The priest knew the mother (he didn't know either too well, except by reputation, but he did owe them a life debt).

In LOCH, people seem to be equally pissed Yang Kang's stepdad killed both his bio mom and bio dad (to be fair, he didn't mean to kill the mom, he was pretty obsessed with her). I swear, YK and his stepfather have the creepiest, most dysfunctional parental relationship ever because they were happy little family and then the truth came out, YK and Mom left and reunited with Dad, stepdad got parents killed, then was all distraught and decided best way to deal with pain of the woman he loved choosing another was to make her kid's life a living hell so he'd have no choice but to come back so that stepdad could make him trust him again and then kill him. Only stepdad still loves the kid actually so it gets really messy, especially since YK pretends to go along, untimately but is in it for revenge, only his motivations get muddled etc etc etc etc. It's this rabbit hole of awfulness.

Why is that description making me want to watch it? I mean I've heard lots of good things about LOCH so I already kind of wanted to see it, but I still feel slightly warped.

Watch it! It's better than Greek mythology offerings in dysfunctional

That is a solid endorsement. I'd probably have watched it already but I'm used to watching wuxia with my dad and the jerk watched it without me when we had Netflix. I'm actually pretty sure I ordered it for myself but he assumed it was his and stole it.
That was probably more information than you wanted.

Do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. It's excellent.

Also, guy in pics above seems to have foot fetish which makes me amused and happy at the same time, for some reason.
