Yeah, I never thought the story would go that way, sibling-wise, but it turned out to be so unexpectedly cool (with all the foundation properly laid out, too).
Re: YSH. Well, he stole the drama in Queen of Housewives, but he didn't get the girl. He's the male lead in My Fair Lady opposite Yoon Eun Hye, but I cannot recommend that drama in all honestly - the actors are all amazing (it costars Jung Il Woo and Moon Chae Won), the premise is cute (he's a former gigolo who hires himself as a butler to bitchy heiress planning to seduce her to have her pay off his debts) but I hated the heroine sfm and the writer was doing hardcore drugs or something. I lasted through 10 eps, mainly due to their chemistry, and then had to bolt. Apparently the actors all spoke out publically what a mess that was. There were some serious makeouts though:
MFL was the slighty more adult version of Mary Stayed Out All Night in terms of the writing being a flaming mess. I lasted to the end. It was painfully fun.
I stuck to the bitter end only for Yoon Sang Hyun. ONLY FOR HIM. It was a life-changing experience, and made me stronger I believe. XD
For wackiness in drama writing, my top three offenders:
1. My Fair Lady - the absolute biggest mess I haz ever saw 2. Witch Amusement/ Witch Yoo Hee - the entire last 6 episodes made ZERO sense 3. Mary Stayed Out - writer switch explains the schizo, so I give them kudos for trying to salvage a plodding drama, but the attempt by new writer to off Mu Gyul and change OTPs was mindfraking WHAT THE FUCK. 4. Bad Guy - oy vey.
I loooooved Yoon Sang Hyun so much in My Fair Lady that I watched the whole thing! Even though watching on viikii meant I had to deal with comments every 5 seconds lamenting how ancient he is. And then he turned out to be ... 36! Or something. Yeah, right, SO old. But it was a completely terrible drama.
I also loved Jang Geun Seuk a lot in MSOAN/MMM and I just finished that ... see a pattern? The plot was incredibly wtf-ish (all the plots, actually) and the characterization inconsistent, and the less said about the wardrobe the better (!) but JGS was always completely mesmerizing. But it was a completely terrible drama.
ANyway, I was really happy to encounter YSH in SG. Let's hope I have a similarly happy meeting with JGS at some point down the road.
I admit: the said scene in SG is my first time ever tearing up for a second lead guy crying over another guy. YSH's OSKA really shines here and I seriously object to the criticism of his overacting in SG. This is a larger-than-life character and his is a pitch-perfect delivery!

Never had a thought of him being "the" good hyung until things fell to their respective places.
I love you, show ;__;
It's my first time watching Yoon Sang Hyun, I might check him out in other dramas when this ends! Any recommendations? :D
