Corneille's Le Cid is one of my favorite plays ever. It's just perfect and there are memorable lines in there. I didn't see that movie, I'll have to check it out.

Yay to old movies too.

I like Corneille in general, but that one was my first and hence my favorite.

By the way, is anyone interested if I make old movies a semi-regular feature of this LJ?

I'd like that. I've heard of El Cid, but never caught my eye. Luckily it seems to be on TCM a decent amount so I'll have to check it out.
