1. Home, a collaboration between Mainland and Taiwan, this is a period epic starring Vic Zhou (!!!!!) as a Chinese doctor gangpressed by the Japanese into service in WWII (!!!!!). There is supposed to be battles, angst, star-crossed love and probably all-around gorgeous doom. Oh God, can't wait.

Don't forget that Home, Vic's drama will end on that fateful Pacific Steamer 1949 - aka Taiwanese Titanic which sank carrying refugees leaving China before the Communists took over. The original title of this drama was actually Pacific Steamer 1949 before it was changed to Home.

This is Qing period (the scandalicious 9 princes(sons of KangXi)one throne) + brutal palace concubines catfights + TIME TRAVEL! Writer is a ratings sensation, but the bts bitching is a drama on its own right. This scriptwriter is notorious for shameless plagiarism and there's a popular novel w/ exact themes and everything TengRen is in production adapting (YuanHong is a sure in for one of the princes. Too bad this writer caught wind and has spin out his 'copycat' in record time. His stuff is never boring even if it seldom makes sense.

there's a C twitter war atm btn the ladyboss of TengRen and YH's fans (and Hu Ge fans) on her mismanagement. She hinted on 'letting YH go' pulling a fake nice saying he'll be her family even if he's not under TengRen out of nowhere. It is ugly.. *sigh*

Jade Palace Lock Heart will be out in couple months I think. The TengRen one has yet to start filming in Nov, and they haven't cast the main prince.

tbh I dont want YH in any of this because everything is pointing to the fact he'll be a guy3/guy4 for the nth time, one of the side princes...under a production of your management that he's been with for 10 years.

As for the Jade Lock thing of Weird Nameness... let's see if I can sum it up (this script is weird, even for usual Chinese historicals): Time travel! Imperial Qing inheritance shenanigans! Yang Mi forced to change into an ever-increasing number of complicated costumes!

... yeah, that's about it. I'm watching it because it's supposed to start out funny and end angsty with an ultimately happy ending, and you know how I like those. :P
