I think you summed up the dramas flaws perfectly! I like the drama so far but like with Boys Over Flowers I might stop shutting off my brain and start being pissed off. I feel so bad for the wife, I would be furious if my husbands mistress was treated better than me and brought her child to my family. BUT actively trying to hurt a child isn't justifiable. I think the husband is awful as well for allowing his wife to be mistreated and disrespected. Tak Goo is just the typical good guy with a little bit of a temper so of course I have to love him!
I am so happy that you are checking BKKTG because the drama is somewhat underrated. I even wanted to propose you to watch it but I dared not since you're so much into BG and both shows are competiting for the time slot (BKKTG is way ahead of the other competitors). I like the drama and now I watched the lastest episode I so love the bromance in the latest episode. I like Eugene and LYA characters and acting here. I like JooWon/Majun too. He is so tall ! I like TG character the least among the lead characters but he is not too bad.
And please the drama is far better than HYD's killer BOF. I especially like how Majun has chemistry with both lead girls and Eugene is not necessarly the lead female character. I like the women in the drama the best (LYA, Eugene, Majun eldest sister, Majun's mother).
...Oooh. When do the EoE brothers realize the switch? Is it early? Because that plot really interests me, but if they only discover it like, 40 eps into 50 then I won't have the patience to reach it.
The drama is 60+ eps and I think they realize in the 30s? I can't remember any more. It's one of those dramas that has brilliant parts and claw-my-eyes-out parts. Enough angst to sate me, though.
And I agree with about the flaws. That's why I don't feel bad for TG's mother and I don't support her. I feel more for MaJun, his sisters and his mother. I didn't feel bad when the grandma died because she was so bad to MaJun's mother, her granddaughters and MaJun too (showing she likes TG better). The father is not a "hero" in my view. He redeemed himself about his relationship with MaJun in the latest episodes but it is somewhat too late. TG is sometime annoying but the boy is innocent in this affair. What I like is the "good" side is not so innocent and saint.
I adored EoE and its main OTP but two things to keep in mind before you embark on it:
1. It's long. 60+ eps I believe. It's the longest drama I ever finished. It's fine, it's not draggy but not sure if that many eps is your thing. 2. There are a bunch of storylines and I found some worked better than others. I loved the protagonist's story throughout but with other storylines it was more of a mixed bag - but that is what a ff button is for.
I made it to ep 7 already. I like it, it's really good. I didn't pay much attention to the credits before except for the main characters, so imagine my surprise when I see Kim Bum there! YAY!! Although this is bad because I keep seeing the main character as Kim Bum and not Song Seung Hun. lol

I don't care about ratings competition - it's not as if I am in Korea so my watching would count towards the ratings :)
