You guys, I am so in love with Sunao ni Narenakute - I have finished the episode and if it keeps this up, it's going on my all-time favorites list. I am more of a kdrama girl than a jdrama one, but almost nothing can compare with a jdrama done right ( Read more... )

sunao ni narenakute, oh my lady, personal taste, doramas3, yankee-kun to megane-chan, prosecutor princess, manpain, cinderella unni, screencaps

Just finished watching Sunao.. first ep yet and yeah, I'm really liking it. Eita is just surprisingly dreamy in this (I've liked him as an actor in everything I've seen of him, but never like "okay that dude is hot/handsome" but his acting is intense in here and it shows), and I foresee a lot of angst for these messed up characters (none of them are where they want to be in life, and Haru's brother's on drugs and whoah, just a world of messiness there just waiting to go down ( ... )

Matching tattoos could be a gang thing rather than them getting such as a sign of their love

I suppose they could always be bizarre like Nagase and his ex (never get romantic tattoos - if the relationship doesn't work out, you'll be stuck with one and looking like and idiot - see Johnny Depp!) but it didn't strike me as a shippy tattoo - for one, that is an odd shape for a memento of love. Plus, the limping guy looks like he was involved and he looked like a tough customer.

It doesn't seem swimming in angst - you know. Some of the situations are horrid but the drama is very low hey about it all.

I am shocked to find an idol who can act!

Exactly same here.

Yeah romantic tattoos are in the top 3 of "never get" tattoos (I'd personally also never get a tattoo for a fandomy thing - who knows when you lose interest in it or how "influential" to your life it's been in the long run?).

I appreciate the low-keyness of it all. The very first scene is definitely super-dramatic and desperate, what with the blood and everything, but it doesn't look to become one of those "everything is hopeless and then gets more hopeless" dramas. Which is great!

Heh, well, I guess all idols need to get a chance to become the former idols we know who *rock* at the whole acting thing. YEH was a girlband member once. Nagase, too, though of course he knows how to make music as well and TOKIO is like a "real band". But it's great when it shows they've actually auditioned the popstars before signing them for the roles. :D

I would actually never get a tattoo at all for anything because I don't care how cute it is - the cutest thing will become boring after a decade. Also, when your skin stretches/shrinks or gets wrinkled when you get older it may look pretty horrid.

I am all about temporary tatttoos if I get the yen :P

I love that KE's dramas may have a lot of drama in them but they aren't over dramatic at all (thinking of Tattakoi). I wonder whose pool of blood that is btw.

Yup. Yoon Kye Sang, who I adore ridiculously, and Sung Yuri were both idols. And Matsujun and Kame still are :)

I find Seonsu the most tragic character of all ---- I want him to have a happy ending, please.
He might very well get a happy ending because Kitagawa Eiko is so in love with Jaejoong. LOL.

I am more of a kdrama girl than a jdrama one, but almost nothing can compare with a jdrama done right.

That's EXACTLY how I feel. I find that I watch a lot more (mostly mediocre) k-dramas and they cater to my needs, but when I see a good j-drama, oh man, it's AMAZING.

Also, I thought the old guy at the end was Eita's father. . . but I guess he died during the war. Hmmm, I'll take the gang explanation for now. It seems likely.

I'm most likely gonna have a shipping war between Ueno/Jaejoong and Ueno/Eita. Jaejoong is just soooo sweet and bumbling and I can't help but want something happy for him.

I guess we'll find out more about Eita later.

I don't care if JJ gets the girl as long as he gets some sort of a happy ending.

I didn't realize you like Narimiya Hiroki, and I'm surprised you'd decided to check Yankee-kun to Megane-chan out. I hope it doesn't disappoint, then, because I know it's 2 genres that you hate? XP

Also, I'll cave and watch Sunao, purely for the side characters, because I am a weirdo. :D

I like him - best thing about Innocent Love and I enjoyed his eeeeevil psycho in KKK2003 more than the rest of that really weird drama. I am glad to see him in a leading role at last (plus, he sort of has this dissolute hotness vibe thing I like).

I find often jdrama manga adaptations are horrid but I did like a few - Otomen, Wallflower, Sapuri, Gokusen, 1 Pound, Hanadan (which I adored) - trailers are usually a safe bet - I have yet to loathe a drama whose trailer appealed to me.
