I was laughing so hard at omona reaction re: Yoona in Athena. They all were either sad she didn't get it or annoyed one of the other SNSD girls didn't get fofered it first.
Meanwhile I was headdesking over the thought of a wooden pop idol at all. Whoever they stick in better be like TOP - in a tiny role, bringing the LOLs. The thought that she could have been the heroine opposite JWS and CSW - I get cold sweat.
Well at least his character sounds like someone who might spend a lot of time angsting shirtless while the camera slowly pans up his sweaty torso.
In the rain. While bleeding.
Why anyone thinks that with that cast and character descriptions anyone would be shipping Han Hyo Joo's character with the King, is beyond me (and I like Ji Jin Hee who plays the King. I do. But still...)
Unless it's a rare idol who can act, I don't mind them in fluffy stuff - you don't need to be a master thespian to do OK in that stuff - but stay away from my good dramas, agreed.
Anyone who thinks Yoona can hold her own with JWS or CSW is inhabiting a different planet.
(I am also cracking up at stuff elsewhere where fans are going nutty insisting only tall actresses must star because the guys are tall. WTF? Haven't they heard of heels? Or dramas like Trick and Capital Scandal? It's not the WNBA.)
JJH was in Densha Otoko remake, right? I've only seen him in Spring Day but was too busy lusting over Jo In Sung to pay much attention to him.
OH I AM SO EXCITED FOR DONG YI! Where did you get the synopsis from? I didn't know she'd be solving stuff.
YEP Bae Soo Bin's role sounds like absolute perfection and although I know I'm gonna fall for the King eventually, I know I'll be spending a lot of time pining for him also.
2. Can anyone explain to me the Korean fixation with Yoona? I think she can't act (she was so wooden in 9 End 2 Outs they could have used her instead of the baseball bats), has no charisma, and has a creepy bird face.
Oh my gosh THANK YOU. I tried to watch the first episode of Cinderella Man without knowing any of the actors and something about Yoona (and KSW) just turned me off. I had no idea she was an idol, I just knew right off the bat that I didn't like her. lol. It is definitely something about her face that bugs me... and now I sound shallow. haha.
Anyway, thank you so much for the Dong Yi previews. KYAAAAA!!!! Ninja Bae Soo Bin! ♥ My anticipation meter just shot up a whole lot.
She is horrible - I had no prejudgments about her (didn't even know who she was) and she was awful awful. (Kwon Sang Woo was awful in it too but I cut him some slack because I have actually have seen him in a number of things where I loved him - have you ever watched the movie 'Once Upon a Time in High School'? He was heart-breaking in that one).
Ninja Bae Soo Bin is the best thing you can have in a kdrama.

I haven't, but I will put that on my to-watch list! :)
I really do think the whole thing with Nami shows up that Pal Kang and her brood need Kang Ha - she is capable of providing/caring for them but who is going to provide/care for her? It's really good to have someone there to help you with your burden, as you help the kids with theirs. Plus, Kang Ha is just good in a crisis.
Yes! This! That's exactly why he's the right guy for Pal-gang. People's true natures tend to reveal themselves when some scary like a very sick baby happens. They looked like parents. Pal-gang kept turning to Kang-ha for comfort and, even when she wasn't, Kang-ha still couldn't seem to keep his hands off her. Nothing sexual, of course. It was all he could do to comfort her. And I adored how he kept saying "our Nami". He was right in it with her.
Yes, that helps too! :-) They are so a couple and they don't even know it! I can't believe there's only two episodes left! I'm not ready to let go of these characters yet!
