R.I.P. Jean Simmons

One of my favorite actresses, Jean Simmons, has passed away tonight. She was wonderful in many excellent movies (Elmer Gantry is in my top 10 movies ever) but I think my favorite Jean Simmons moment EVER is this delightful song from Guys and Dolls, in which slightly tipsy Jean gets forward with Marlon Brando.

Honestly, I was't aware that she wasn't already deceased until today, but I adored her. Wonderful actress. And I agree Elmer Gantry is an excellent film.

Hi, Dangermousie.
This is sad news. Lady jean Simmons was one of my favorite female actors. Her last performance, that I saw, was as Virginia in 'The Canterville Ghost' segment of a Scifi Channel special called "A Halloween Trilogy", which was made and broadcast in the 1990's. I loved her performance so much that I video taped the program. I am glad, now, that I did. She was quite a lady as well as a fine actor, and will be greatly missed. RIP Lady Jean. Anna
