I can't believe that even after all this time, I am still not over this show. I seriously think about it everyday and am counting down the days until I can see Seo Woo or Im Ju Hwan in anything. I even downloaded one episode of "Drama City" just because Im Ju Hwan is in it. This show has pretty much consumed my mind. I hate you MBC, for airing a show this good, giving it stupid promos, and then cutting it to 16 episodes.
BTW, think I'm going to download Snow Queen. Im Ju Hwan and the actor who plays Yan happen to be in it and I'm that desperate.
Seriously, it had the worst promos ever and that poster - *shudder*
Plus, the first 15 minutes were so odd - I gave up then and there. I am so glad my flist kept loving it because when I tried watching it properly I was blown away.
^ Apparently Im Joohwan decided it would be a good idea to get ACTUALLY intoxicated (he drank a bottle and a half of soju, if I remember correctly) for the kiss scene and it totally shows LMAO
I get this slightly otherworldly in the feel of "Tamra," which I really like.
It's also very rare to see the man pining for the lady. I don't know until what episode you've been on, but it's a shame they cut this down because I can't seem to be satisfied with how limited the interactions were between Beo Jin and Park Kyu. I would have liked to see them...sweeter, I guess, for lack of a better term. I can't decide yet if it's a strength or a limitation that there seems to be equal development between Beo Jin and Park Kyu and between Beo Jin and William.
I don't know if you've seen this, but sharing nonetheless: From the DVD
They did cut out basically a quarter of the drama so I think we'll see more of their interactions - I saw some absolutely to-die-for scenes that are in the director's cut.
I too love that here it's the guy who is pining.
be equal development between Beo Jin and Park Kyu and between Beo Jin and William.
I actually really like it - it makes the love triangle viable and believable. And I believe she loved them both at different times and different ways. She could have been happy with William if somehow magically they were able to escape confines of society. I sort of ship her with both - when she is with William I ship her with him and when she is with Park Kyu, I ship her with Park Kyu.
OMG HE IS SUCH A TOTAL DORK. I know! I love him. :) Can I just spazz for a bit and feel like Eun Jae who likes both So brothers?
I actually really like it - it makes the love triangle viable and believable. You are so right. My rant is just out of frustration perhaps because it always seems like Beo Jin's interactions with Park Kyu are a lot of her worrying about William with Park Kyu as a sort of sounding board and catharsis. But logically, I do think it's because of the editing--and I must say that given what's happened, I think the editing is pretty good to retain the core and the emotions among the characters.
I'm so in love with this drama that I check Viikii twice a day to see if Episode 9 and 10 are back online. I have them in HD on my hard-drive but don't have the subs
( ... )
I think it helps that I know I can't watch eps 9 and 10 and I am allergic to skipping with this drama (side note - viikii, get your act together - if you want me to watch your crappy ads, you better fix the links).
I thought Goong dvd quality wasn't bad but I haven't seen HQ for it so can't compare.
I am SO glad you like Mawang, it's such an amazing drama.
Also, the video quality is a deterrent - vid quality on viikii is so crappy - it hurts my eyes to watch something as pretty as Tamra in quality as bad as that.

I suppose it's pretty obvious I love this drama.

Just a bit :)
Re: editing. Seeing how much they had to cut out, I am impressed Tamra remained coherent and well-put throughout.
