Dollhouse, books, and dramas

1. The baby is with the in-laws for a few days (long story) and the missing her is an almost physical ache. I heard her on the phone today and it made something in my chest relax, as if I could breathe again.

2. Watched the latest Dollhouse ep. Total love!

I think the closest thing to a character I genuinely like in Dollhouse is Sierra's various imprints. Which, you know, is a major issue in and of itself. Beyond that, I basically just root for all the Dolls to save themselves. (Alpha pretty much counts, despite what amounts to carving up small children.) I'm kind of adamantly opposed to any non-dolls helping. If one must, I prefer the non-obsessive Loomis. Topher getting tasered was definitely a highlight, especially after "Look at how sad and lonely my geeklife is!"

That's true = the imprints (of all the main dolls, to me) are more fun than various personalities.

If they wanted me to feel sorry for Topher? (Birthday and then the follow up thing in the next ep with him coming up with a charity case to help that abuse victim). Ha! I will only feel sorry if he is a doll.

I could have so adored Ballard and wanted him to rescue people if they wrote him differently (I wanted that in earlier eps). But as is - yikes. Though I don't care if Satan rescues them, I just want the dolls to be rescued. And then kill the dollhouse personnel.

You know, if he'd switched his obsession from Caroline to Mellie/November, not because of love but because she was, at one point, an actual person to him instead of a pretty symbol, I might actually like that character.

I'd say he's pretty interchangable with Boyd at this point. Honestly, early on, I was fine with the idea of his being part of what brings the Dollhouse down, but thanks to him, I'm adamantly opposed to anyone but a Doll being part of the Dolls being saved.

I loved how Zai Tian kept trying to get YX to lie and he kept just coming straight out with the harsh truth :) that threesome confrontation was pure gold, however - MMMM. I was a little disappointed she didn't really look at Zai Tian after the "he-rescued-you" confession came out - I mean, come on, she kissed him passionately, she clearly has SOME chemistry/feelings for him. But it's okay - I predict plenty of delicious OTP time in future so it's all good. I'm with you, though - YX and Chen Lin, as actors, have a really incredible amount of chemistry, an unusual amount for a non-canon ship. I'd probably switch if my heart wasn't so permanently bound to Zaizai. Or maybe I wouldn't- as hot as Mark Chao is and as much as I respect his character, he's two black-and-white(no pun intended) for my taste. Zaizai, though less developed so far, is much more interesting and complex

I adore Mob Girl too!!! She is so awesome, and tough, and unannoying!

Ep 8 is up already I think, I've already seen it. It's OMG, sooo good!! I can't help but ship YX and Mob Girl...I really don't like Zaizai that much...and I feel that his acting is abit awkward, and his bad posture is really getting to me, especially when he's standing next to Mark who has a really really nice back...LOL.

LOLOLOL at the posture comment. That is something that I honestly can say I have never noticed on anybody in my entire life :)

ahahahahah! that's very true actually but I think it's a mannerism that fits in well with his character right now.

I actually thought Peter Ho looked hotter and wished they would switch places originally so I'm not annoyed but then I haven't seen either of them in anything so I can't judge. The funny thing is Barbie and Peter have been in another drama together - he had a very small part in Phantom Lover, one of her early dramas.

Didn't know about Phantom Lover, hmmm. I just hope SoB is good, whichever way the cast goes - it sounds like it could be cool.
