Korean Movie Called Spy Girl---This is a sweet, light-hearted, romantic comedy with a teeny-tiny bit of martial arts action. Call me a chauvinist oinker but this is definitely a boy-meets-girl / boy-loses-girl ‘chick-flick.’ The heroine is a beautiful North Korean agent hunting down an AWOL agent in Seoul, South Korea. The plot sounds like the basis for a good action-thriller just remember: Romantic Comedy. The screenplay is a little silly and the male characters even sillier. The comedy is slapstick at times but is never overly mean. However, the romance in this film succeeds in the sweetest and most innocent of ways. Friendships among the main and peripheral characters develop and the movie audience is treated to the budding first-love relationship between Hyo-Jin (girl) and Go-Bong (boy). There is an innocent tension between our two boy-girl protagonists. I don’t want to spoil the movie for anyone but I must set the correct expectation: there is no ‘love-scene’ and Spy Girl is definitely PG-13 material, for only its very brief
