Top Dozen Jdramas: all new expanded and improved list

Nothing is as good as a good jdrama, so favorite jdramas are my favorite dramas of all.

I did a Top Jdramas list some time ago, with reasons and vids, but time to update. Why? Well, for one, current dramas number 3-5 weren't even on the list then, because I haven't seen them.

Fantastic! Thanks for doing this list!

My favorite seen in HYD is when Domyouji is in New York and he sees Ken as he's crossing the traffic light. I felt like I stopped breathing when that happened, honestly. I think that's one of the most perfect scenes I've seen in a drama, ever.

I loved that Hanadan scene. I also loved how unexpected Domyouji's reaction was to finding out it was all a giant deception perpetrated by his psycho mother.

I literally screamed when he said 'Four.' Oh, why did they make unrelated sequels. *gnashes teeth*

Both Nakama Yukie and Matsujun could have chemistry with a telephone pole, which totally helped the shipping, when they are playing off each other...OMG.

Yes, do! It's such an awesome (and criminally underrated) drama. It's funny because when I first saw a photo of him, I thought Kama was too girly for my tastes, but I completely adore him on screen. I have yet to see him in something I didn't like him in. He is so good!

Nice list :) Karei-naru Ichizoku will be part of yours, I hope, once you finish watching it. It was a close one to beating Pride, for me. Aki + Halu love is just really hard to beat, though :D

I don't know about KNI. It's a great drama, well-written and incredibly well-acted, but much as I am fascineted by Teppei and by the horrible family, all the banking/steel stuff makes it galze over for me for a bit. Maybe it's self-protection on my part, from the devastation of the ending.
