The Boxer and the Nun: it sounds like some joke punchline, doesn't it?

I was too tired, after the long day PLUS Winter Sonata to watch Goong or even Sweet 18, so I finished 1 Pound No Fukuin, a.k.a. the one where Kame plays a boxer who falls in love with a nun, instead

Yeah, it's basically fluffy and fun and (for me) forgettable but nice way to spend the evening.

This drama still sounds too weird for me, ahahah.

It might have worked for me if Nun was really torn between God and earthly love, but from the descriptions of the drama, it sounds a little TOO light and fluffy for my taste.

I mean, light and fluffy is like, my favorite genre, but for a topic as serious as heavenly vs. earthly love, I'd want my drama to DEAL with the decision-making process on a more serious level.

Having said that, though, Kame does seem adorkable in this drama (from the vid above) and I can see why Sister Angela couldn't make it as a nun--too hot to remain single, really.

It is super light. Doesn't bother me because it's not realistic at all.

I was very surprised at how good Kame was at comedy, since I'd only seen him as a serious slightly angsty young guy before this drama. But he was really good and fun. The host club episode was fantastic XD!

I also liked Kuroki Meisa, who was gorgeous as Sister Angela. I liked her in Byakkotai as well, where she played a historical role.

Yeah, I didn't know he could be so goofy. He is so good at vulnerable, it was fun to see him so different.

The Host guy made me so mad. XD He could've been really cute, too. Eurgh. Damn him and his 'gimme all your money!' attitude. x_x

I absolutely loved the ending! So cute, that she gave up God just to be with him. :] Although I still love Kame/Ayase Haruka more. :3

I agree that Kame is underrated. He is one of the most talented young actors out there, I hope he gets a drama better than 1 pound next time :) He is super cute here and everything, but.. I dunno, weird story XD
