Monday drama ramble

Mar 10, 2008 13:30

I think I’ve been in the drama fandom for too long when my reaction on finding out there are Kang Ji Hwan/Han Ji Min rpshippers is to go ‘awwwww, that means Capital Scandal is loved, yay!’ and not the ‘eeeeeek’ it would have been a few months earlier. LOL.

In other news, is anyone interested in On-Air? It just started airing (and has been picked ( Read more... )

I haven't seen Yi-San, but every period Korean drama I've seen(EotS, Damo, Hwang Jin Yi) has been near perfect, and I've only ever heard positive things about the others on my list that I haven't seen(because I haven't had a new drama infusion into the backlog in about 6 months)-Dae Jang Geum, Legend, Jumong, Capital Scandal, Hong Gil Dong, Seo Dong Yo-so it should be good. Yi-San is also by the same makers as DJG and SDY, and DJG and Damo are, to my understanding, pretty much the ones that seriously kicked off the period kdrama craze...almost every one since then has been subbed and licensed.

True, I hope it's good and kdramas have a good track record. I am not as in love with period dramas as you are though so am a bit apprehensive about something this long :)

LOL. I think this might be a bit too weird for me: the guy who likes the girl and her Dad? Yikes.

Both "On Air" and "Who Are You?" seem interesting. I haven't seen Kim Ha-neul in a drama since "Stained Glass" (my personal experience, not to reflect on her work ethic :)), it would be enjoyable to watch her again.

And "Who Are You?" Well, yeah.

WAY sounds totally insane. It could either work or crash spectacularly. I am unfamiliar with any of the actors, so I'll be going into this purely on story alone.

On-Air sounds like it could be very entertaining, since it's about the industry.

The dad in "Who Are You?" was Chae-gyung's dad in "Goong." I would guess that it's his forte, that sort-of goofy daddy thing with a lot of heart for his little girl. I also know the dorky (but nonetheless adorable) Min-yeop in "Coffee Prince" plays the lead girl's guardian angel (I think).

Yeah, "On-Air" definitely sounds interesting. I hope they do it really well. :)

He was in Capital Scandal, too, and was very funny in that. (Have you seen CS btw?) I love him.

Thank you for the link to the lee seo jin news. So cute!!!

Besides the ones you listed, the only other LSJ drama I have seen is "Her House" in which is acting was very still weak but from what I remember, I really like the drama. He was also in Freeze, which I didn't watch, and in Wang Cho (a drama that I really liked but didn't even notice him at all).

Yi-San is directed by the man who directed both huh jun, dae jang geum, jumong. He has like Midas' hands too. I wish I was watching Yi-san but I just am having a hard time picturing LSJ in a period role besides the one in Damo.
