I am on episode 9 and The Legend continues to be amazing. I am just so in love with it. I have also been amusing myself imagining what kind of fandom/fanfic things there would be if this was an American show.

I love thinking of fandoms-for-things-that-don't-really-have-fandoms. Like this Finnish show I loved back in 2005-06, a sort of mockumentary about making a talk show (complete with clueless host, manipulative producer, weird writer..) that is still about the funniest thing I've ever seen. Me and friend once had a conversation over lunch that if this show had a fandom, what would be the OTPs, and what would people mostly write etc. We also talked about how weird it would be because the character names are the actors' names IRL. Sort of RPF-except-not fic would ensue.

And yep, I love MLB but as I whined to miss_dian, do not own it on a proper DVD (just a VCD, ack). I may have to try and find the Region 1 dvd or something. And yeah, no freaky power imbalance. She's got more guts than he does, which is beyond amusing. Like "hey my wife is 15 and I still always have to do what she says". XD

MLB is so adorable. It's an icky grey day out here, so was something I really needed to brighten up my morning.

It probably does have that kind of fandom in Korea...we just don't see it.

And you know I'll like #3 guy...

One of the times I wish I could read Korean. The fandom craziness would be fun.

Re: number 3 guy. I dunno, he is mostly evil. I don't really go for that (said the girl who is totally swooning for Ho Tae, the bad guys' figurehead.:P )

Here's my unpopular fandom opinion:

Ugh, so sick of Johnny Depp! Yes, he's been great in some movies, but he had nothing to do and wasn't impressive in the slightest in Sweeney Todd. How long can we consider him an artiste for just doing one-expression shticks for entire movies through! ('Cause this is, like, his fifth. And four of them have all been with Tim Burton.)

I like him. I have no idea if he is a great actor. Probably not. But I find him very fun to watch which is all I require.

Pirates of the Carribean. Which I loved, in and off itself. But in retrospect it's hard not to see it as part of a trend.

i loved both the LEGEND *who doesn't love it* and MY LITTLE BRIDE, it pure cuteness....

but i agree that both The Assassination of Jesse James and Lust, Caution was overlooked....

and Johnny Depp was awesome in Sweeney Todd reminds me never to eat meat pies though

I agree with My Little Bride. It does have all the potential to be all "Eww!" but somehow manages to come across innocent and fun.

I love Kim Rae-won here. He does come across fun and I really like that he has enough range to play someone slightly comical and immature (and for once, he doesn't kiss! :) He makes me cringe watching his kissing scenes, seriously.)

Moon Geun-young needs to do something soon. She's all grown up from this movie and Song Hye-gyo's younger alter-ego in "Autumn in My Heart."

Heh. Usually for me it's because the actress is trying so hard not to kiss, it's making me LOL. In Love Story at Harvard it was rather hilarious.
