I became a slight Salman fangirl for this movie. This was the best I ever saw him. Also, when it comes to SLB love triangles, I agree, I always root for everyone. ;) But in HDDCS I think I was ambivalent (didn't mind who got her) and in Devdas I was rooting for Paro, but that's just me. In this, I was rooting for Imaan because I wanted Sakina to get what she truly wanted.
I'm not sure how I feel about the Abhi-Ash jodi doing it. I was telling my sis how I think that Bajirao Mastani needs to be very...unreal, and putting in a real-life husband and wife pair sort of ruins that, y'know?
My Name is Kim Sam Soon & Hello Miss are still on my "to-be-watched" list. Sapuri was so ho-hum that I just don't recommend it when there are so many better ones out there to occupy your time. I tried reading the manga when I found the scans once but the beginning was so boring & I hated the art so I didn't stick with it at all.
The Sapuri manga is, apparently, a "mature audiences" manga, but I hear it's good(I likely won't be getting it, as it's the kind of story I can love to watch, but getting annoyed with reading, unless its short enough to be tried up in one little paperback) There's a Tsubasa omnibus? Darn. Just after I got the first three single volumes(not that they'l be read anytime soon as the manga backlog is 35+ books strong)
I don't think THAT mature. Or, recalling the cover, maybe so. But surely it won't inspire the rage of Haou Airen by having the girl fall for her regular rapist or any such...
I have a slight problem with SLB movies. The fact is, I've not seen HDCCS or Devdas, but I haven't really wanted to, either. I'm one of the three heredites who think Devdas songs aren't the most amazing things Bollywood has ever produced. :P
So I've only seen Black. And I found it meh. But on the other hand, I keep thinking, did I ever give SLB a fair chance? Did I judge him too early?
You say Saanwariya is a particularly SLB-y SLB fare.. So do you think it would be a good movie to see to give SLB another chance, or a total no-no to anybody who's hesitant about liking his style in movies?
Anyway, my vote goes MNIKSS. The latter half of that drama is better than the first. (I too should rewatch.)
Naaaah, sorry. I really meant about not being sure if I care about either movie. :P I've had the possibility to borrow them from Katja for ages and I just haven't been curious.. But I am curious about Saanwariya, if that makes any sense.
Btw, if your HYD dvd's have good subs, I'd love to borrow that set! :)
IIRC, the HYD subs are okay. Not perfect but I don't remember them being too bad either. It's been a while since I watched the drama. I can take it with me and you can check it out.
