Ha ha ha, good. Always good. Just in shock a bit. Also have to actually do so work - otherwise I'll be in trouble. I'll be back at dinner time!

Right, okay, I have sufficiently recovered. Goodness me, but this series is dramatic. Emotional turmoil at every turn ( ... )

She gambled on John and it didn't work out! Yikes! Yeah, another spin off, from a spin off. Just keep in mind, that nothing is set in stone. Details change. There's little continuity from one shot to one shot. And, you have to figure out what bit fits into what world. A way for me to work out what I do and don't want in this AU featuring the Debs ( ... )

No, I appreciate that anything may - and ultimately, once you start writing it, probably will - change ( ... )

I see this one as being separate from other AUs I've wrote as one shots.

Annette and John's relationship ending far earlier. Think late 60s. And, this little bit I see as being set in the early 80s. Yes, their are still certain losses. Julia, Uncle George, and Stuart. Paul is safe this time around but Annette isn't.

I do understand more where you are coming from in terms of John not consciously being selfish. He's been leveled with the news of Annette's unavoidable death. It's safe to assume that she meant a lot to him when they were together. And, that he still cares about her. It's another person to add to the list of people who leave. Not voluntarily though. Every time it does a number on John.

So, many possibilities! Just have to figure out where I want to go.
