I finished packing my bag for the hospital yesterday, at least as much as I could. I safety-pinned a note onto the outside of the bag with a list of things we need to get at the last minute as we leave. Today I will be cleaning out the car and installing the car seat. Last week I finished painting the outside of the toybox and applying the Peter ( Read more... )

18 days to go for me. I am working 5hr days this week and the next. Doc thinks I'll run long so there are 27 days to go in this mind. He's in Asia right now and I think it will be on time.

I feel your round ligament pain. Although I'm not getting that pain, I'm getting the occasional SPD pain.

We're on the home stretch girl! It's almost over! Well, it's only the beginning...

Woohoo! We're almost done with the first part of being moms!

I can't believe you're still working, wow, I know it's tough to have to go to work every day. You are awesome.

I totally approve of the color scheme. :)
Somewhat related: My friend amanda has these really cool prints ... they're like flash cards, made out of really sturdy stuff, and she puts them in the crib with Oscar. They have images on them that are just black & white because apparently, babies can only see high-contrast images. Anyway, these are cool, because they also happen to be beautifully drawn, AND they are dinosaurs, so on the back side of the image is an explanation of what kind of dinosaur and it's characteristics, so it will grow in usefulness. Cool, huh? I didn't know this stuff until I went to her house. Now I'm all fascinated with this stuff. So keep posting, kay?

It's nice that there are things like that! I think the books that I have with the Peter Rabbit stories also can be something that will grow in usefulness.

Those books certainly will. I read my "baby" books my whole life. Because I loved them for different reasons each time.

The lyrics on Sesamie Street Fever are certainly more fun from the perspective of a college sophomore newly introduced to RHPS than they were to me as a seven-year-old.
