You can only do your best.
Being afraid isn't going to help things, but I know it's a natural response. You're stressed out because you're looking at the whole picture, EVERYTHING at once, I think.
You need to take a deep breath, and look at what you need to do today, and only today. Tell yourself you're going to do the best job you can at the task in front of you. And only think about it, give it your full attention, instead of thinking about the things you will be doing tomorrow or should be doing now. Because I know you can kick mega rockstar ass on these things, if only you focus, and stay calm and collected.

Thank you. I'm overwhelmed by the difficulty of the subject matter and how long it takes to get things done.

Thank goodness, the teacher is giving me an extension "just this one time" for the homework and exam I didn't get done on time.

I have seen a reoccurring cycle with you on this type of thing...school, work, whatever.

It starts at “oh no!!! oh no!!! oh no!!!” and ends at “yeah me!!! I rock!!!”

You seem to always be able to rise to the stress, be it strength of character, the power of focus or the brute force of stubbornness…I don’t know but I think I know how this will work out.

Thank you. I'm still scared, though. And I think it's because I did such a terrible job the first time around.

At least I have done well before, which means there's a good possibility that I will do well again.

Thanks!

I'm taking it at Allan Hancock from Marie Harrison.

It's a Video/DVD class, so that means I have lots of time to not read the book or watch the videos, which is kinda dangerous.

I don't want to spend my semester "putting out fires."

Productivity dips with late hours and fatigue... it takes me >twice as long to do something requiring thought and focus at 2am as at 2pm.

I read something the other day that has become my new mantra:

What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

You'll do great!

Thank you!

I try to remember that I can do anything as long as I have enough caffeine. And take it one thing at a time.
