Today I woke to what seemed a suffocating weight on my chest, and the conviction that I was the victim of a succubus, or maybe the imp of the perverse. No,no -- it was just my cat. I am now convinced by the vet's suggestion that she not be allowed to gain anymore weight.

Tuesday, actually. Strangely, she still only weighs a little over ten pounds but it's a very, uh, compact ten pounds.
