[Phone/Filtered from drones]I have some questions I would like answered. First I am interested in how many people have used the post office in order to regain items previously lost. What was traded and did you have any control in the transaction? There is something I would like to consider but I am lacking in proper information to come to an ( Read more... )

[Hello, down the street neighbor. The black clouds of smoke roiling out the window were alarming enough for Lucas to quickly run over and try to take a look through the window.

...

Hey. It was almost like what happened the last few times he tried to make cookies. Perhaps she won't hear him through whatever chaos is going on, but he'll cautiously call out a little.]

Um. Is everything alright...?

[Like a well honed predator she hears him as she was always aware of her surroundings.]

Everything is fine, there is no need to worry.

[Those familiar with her would notice she did not sound as sure of herself as she normally would be though.]

This is within expected parameters.

...

Does that mean you intended to get that piece of chicken stuck on the ceiling light...?

[She looks up and is a little surprised to see that. What could she say? She mulls it over for a moment.]

A slight error.

[Dempsey ran into the kitchen due to the smell of smoke and something burning.] What the hell's going on!? Where's the fire!

There is no fire, but dinner should be ready shortly.

[And completely unappetizing. Better open some windows to clear this out.]

Bull! Unless burning food is making a dinner! [And he'll do just that, rushing to each window to quickly open them.]

It did not come out as expected, though instructions were followed.

[She sounds a little disappointed, though it's hard to tell. It was more difficult here as ready made food was not as simple to buy.]

Wilhemina!

Are you all right?

I am fine, though unfortunately dinner may be a little late.

Mou. Maybe we should just get some convenience store food.

There are no convenience stores and the supermarket has very little in the way of food with fast and efficient preparation.

[She would be stocking up on canned soup and TV dinners very soon.]

I wouldn't be able to answer your first question, but the second question sounds like it's the cosplay cafe.

I believe so. When I first arrived I was mistaken as an employee and then offered potential employment. At this time it seemed advantageous to take the offer.

Are you familiar with cosplay cafes?

Informally. They are a cafe that has the staff dress up in various outfits for the entertainment of the customers. Many people with particular interests go to them in order to fulfill fantasies.

"There is some degree of control in what you ask for. However the body parts the town takes from you or the memories seem to be at the discretion of the the town."

"The second question is possibly the cosplay cafe where I work."

What sorts of parts and memories does the town tend to take? I need to form as full a picture as possible.

That would be the place.

"Generally memories of important times you had, people, places that define you as you. Not so much your training, but the things that make you a person. As for specifics, I don't know. My memories are all very precious to me so I never went through it. Also there is the fact you won't know what you've lost after the fact."

"If you'd like I can give you a map to the cafe."

Not being able to remember the loss would make weighing the cost difficult. At the same time it is not too invasive as the loss of a limb would be. The answer to this would be to write down as much as possible, or those memories that are most precious and compare them to what is remembered after a trade.

Yes, that would be helpful. Or simple directions.
