I thought it might be, but also thought I might not be the only one. They're great pictures, but I wanted everyone to be able to read your words too. <3
Oh, wow, er, thanks. It's one of my favourites, too, probably because it's a bit out of character for my work, beyond the subject being kind of neat.
I'm going to sound like a big dork here, but thank you so very much for commenting. I've been following your panting and then also travel photos since the early lj-invite-only days, via . And your travel shots, particularly of the beauty in run-down places, have been a subtle but huge influence on what I've been working toward as I've been teaching myself photo skills over the past few years.
I noticed your pic in the following post of the window. That was what originally drew me in. I love that kind of photography and you do it well. I like this kind of shot too, because it's not just a shot of the graffiti, it's about the whole image, and the person in the lower right gives it a little bit of motion and moment-in-time quality.
Thanks so much. I got into photography mostly from an urban exploration hobby (if art in general through theatre design), so I tend to gravitate toward subjects like that window shot. Currently, I'm trying to learn to incorporate people more. It's a process.
And thanks for sharing your work for years and years somewhere I happened to come across it for enjoyment and inspiration.
