So awesome. I really want to go now.

I've been wanting to go there and to the arboretum for a looong time now without ever doing it.

The Arboretum is on the longer-term plans for Mark and I as well. We'd briefly thought about going this weekend and then remembered that, as warm as it's been, everything is still brown.

I'd been before but it was long enough ago (that my memories include me wearing kiddie overalls and having my pockets stuffed full of seeds and cuttings by my crazy green thumb grandparents) that I'd really like to go again once it's green.

Meanwhile, I definitely want to see the other museums down there... Need to get over my fear of navigating DC.

I highly recommend driving down to one of the northern suburban metro stops and wrangling central DC stuff like the museums and arboretum from there. It's the only way I dealt with DC during metro hours for years, and still is when I have the time to do so. I've just recently gotten braver when I don't have time to waste on WMATA, and, well, accident. argh.

Hooray for butterflies! I'm glad you had a lovely time. (I agree that the living version is so much nicer than the dead pinned version.)
