Photo backlog: Butchart Gardens

It appears to be time get a new monitor for my desktop. Last night's photo processing binge (four months late) may well be the last straw for discovering inconsistent and bad colour balance issues only after I look at the files again on a different machine. Bad I expect. Inconsistent is another problem entirely, and means bad can't be made up for ( Read more... )

I really love the way that one turned out. When I first looked at it on the laptop, I thought the colour was off, but now I'm remembering that one was actually that contrasty in person, being why I took it in the first place.

So many hundreds more pictures from Butchart. Want to go back. Wah.

(Well, really. I'm less distracted by *other* arts taking up brain and time lately, and trying to get back into some photo stuff.)

But it's still not the same as going to such places. I'd like to find some closer to me, and you guys.

hah. I wish I had a hundred acres of interesting rock features in a temperate rainforest climate, and the money to landscape it... and yet the first one's my favourite too, and I bet I could grow them at home if I knew what they were.

Thanks! Photo geekery is by far my preferred artistic medium, but I haven't done much in the last year or two. Am trying to fix that.

Also that graph is awesome :)
