Pike's wife in this fic was very fun to write, even if she is totally original (as far as I know). I figure he has to have someone to talk to about all the Starfleet nonsense he has to go through.

I've pretended to myself she's Number One from the TOS unaired pilot. She didn't have a name we knew, either, and she was very calm and intelligent and very discreetly into Pike. :)
