#Inktober - Week One!
It all started with a journal... a wedding present from someone who doesn't really know me that well, and therefore thought that I would use a "My Favorite Moment of the Day" journal [for its intended purpose]. Heh. Yeah, no. Never let it be said that I'm not a bit of an ass, lol.
Anyhoo, I've decided to participate in Inktober! I post these daily to my twitter, but I've decided to post weekly summaries here, too, as suggested by the lovely amberdreams, who is also creating some fantastic drawings for this month-long 'challenge'. There's a ton of awesome art coming out of this, and I hope you enjoy my small contribution! :)
Day 1 - "Dayyyy One."
This was inspired by a quote from Disney's Mulan :)
Day 2 - "Unforgettable"
A friend got a song stuck in my head, and this was the result. Also, a birthday shout-out to makare1! (I would soon find that I have a LOT of friends with October birthdays, lol. This has been a good source of inspiration!)
Day 3 - "Home Tweet Home"
Inspired by twitter's web graphics.
Day 4 - "Hold Me Closer"
Inspired by several interests of infatuated_ink (tentacles and ballerinas and Jareds, oh my!) and drawn for her birthday.
Day 5 - "WIP Roar"
The inspiration for this one is still being kept secret for reasons, but the non-secret explanation is that this was inspired by the highlight event of my day :) Also, I need to work on my space-usage, lol.
Day 6 - "Swim Up [Coffee] Bar"
This was inspired by another birthday (Zee @BockVer) and some twitter posts she made with mermen. That, combined with twitter suggesting that I follow the Starbucks account, for whatever reason. Anyhoo, this was the result. Ink... can be very frustrating, lol.
Day 7 - "Inhabited Garden"
This turned out very differently than my original intention, but, eh. :shrugs:
And there you have it! My first week of Inktober drawings. I've already drawn and posted Day Eight (another birthday drawing, for gluedwithgold!), but you won't see it on LJ until next week ;) Until then, I'll see you on twitter (I hope!) :) ♥
