Someone charged 1200 dollars at Walmart(likely on electronics) to my American Express. I called the cops and I have coverage but oh god, they have my ID and my other two cards - only 1 of which has 24hr

I'm home - I already called the cops. I just...dont know how to function right now. Edit: Correction - my mom called the cops. I was on the phone with the card people. I asked her for help. The cops left not long ago. They dont know when they'll get to me because the detective division - is busy with a man who was murdered outside a preschool

That sounds good. Involve as much documentable personnel as possible. Call your card company, call the cops, call whoever the fuck can record the theft.

This is manageable. This is not personal: they want your money. That's all. Whatever else was in your wallet, it may be a personal loss to you, but it's not a GAIN to them. I don't know how much of a comfort that is to you, but they're not USING that stuff. They just want money.

bb, I'm so sorry. But maybe them using the card will be a blessing-there's bound to be security footage and maybe the police will be able to ID them from that?

Also, they've probably thrown anyway everything besides the credit and bank cards so I don't think you have to worry about them having your address.
