I could not stop reading your story once I started. It was sad and perfect.

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it even if it did make you sad.

This is really lovely and so sad for Steve, but I'm glad Erik got a better life out of it.

Now I really want to read a fic where Howard introduces Erik to his son, Tony. I can just imagine all of Tony's daddy issues coming to a head. Fun!

Well, if you really stop and think about it? Tony isnt alive yet. He was born some time in the 1960s. Erik will have been around for fifteen/twenty years before Tony is born. In my head? I see Erik as more of an uncle/big brother to Tony and/or the guy who calls Howard out on not treating him as well as he treated Erik. *plans to actually write that /o\*

This story is marvelous! I want to kiss it all over its sweet, melancholy face.

Thank you so much! I've been a fan of yours since the first movie of TFATF fandom was big and to get such praise from you is amazing. Thank you.

I can't really imagine how different the world might be, with Erik changed as he is and working with Charles. (The Avengers might never exist?)

Your Howard in his interactions with Erik seems like a much better father figure than what we know about Tony's life. Maybe having Erik (and Peggy) in his life after the war changed that aspect of this word as well? (Meaning Tony'd probably be very different too.)
