I love how solidly built this world is, and how you settle Bob and Brian so firmly in it. The characterizations are amazing, as is the clarity of your setting. I was squirming around in my chair and wincing for Bob here, during the piercing process. And then the fic turned, really underlining the depth of the boys' relationship... right before it started to heat up. Well done, dude. Marvelous addition to your Prisonverse.

Oh wow, I can't even begin to express how much I love how you've created this universe. It's so raw but real and kind of beautiful. While I absolutely loved You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us in Prison, I was curious as to Bob and Brian's background. Of course, Bob/Brian is the OTP of my heart so that didn't hurt either.

This is really awesome. I love that even though he's a criminal, Bob has standards. And Brian's earnest face and, gah, Sean D: I'm pretty glad Bob took care of Steineckert. I love that Bob and Brian have each other.

Oh, oh wow, thank you! This is so fantastic. I adore the them-against-the-world vibe that just comes pouring out of the story, not to mention the fact that Bob trusts Brian enough to pierce his lip for him and that Brian found the money specially so that he could buy Bob the ring and all of this! I love it.

Oh Rachael, this is just AMAZING! I love how, even if he was sixteen in this story, you can still tell that it's the same Bob from YKWTDTGLUIP. His loyalty, and his strong urge to protect the people he loves, and the fact that, even if he's basically a criminal, he still has a strong sense of right and wrong and lives by it.

But he agreed already and that’s pretty much all he’s got with Brian, or with anyone, really: his word.
I think this line right there pretty much sums up Bob's essence.

I also love how you can just tell that Bob loves Brian, but still, he's afraid of letting himself think too much about it: That’s way over the intimacy line and Bob knows that Brian’s not crossing it. Probably.
But Brian broke his rule of not asking Sean for money ever, and he did it for Bob, so the intimacy line is pretty much non-existent at that point. ♥

And, having witnessing Bob and Brian's relationship here, gave me a clearer idea of how must they have felt in prison. I adore this 'verse so much!
