Bill sticks close to Mike Carden and the Butcher after Gabe's found dead. The last thing he wants is to attract attention from the Italians and that's the best way. He doesn't stop running his boys but Butcher's animal rights tear extended to human rights too, which Bill always thought was kind of ridiculous considering he fucking killed people for a living. He and Siska both had this weird line about sex and violence. It's kind of hypocritical, at least Bill thinks so, but his boys, Ritter in particular, they get better looking with less abuse. The better looking they get, the more Bill can charge - in cigarettes and drugs and cash and other contraband

The start of Gerard and Frank's relationship at the end of 'Don't Fear the Reaper' wasn't exactly as a great romance. Did it work out in the long run? Five years later for example, are they still together?

Yeah they are. Gerard had a bit of a freak out when Frank got sick this most recent time, the time he ended up on steroids? And Gerard was like afraid to sleep trying to keep his eye out for his "friend". He had all these scenarios about stupid shit he read in faery stories and Ingmar Bergman films about how he'd get around it, trade maybe. But it doesnt come up, and when he tells Frank, Frank smacks him and tells him to stop being nuts.

Then kisses him because come on. Frank is wildly amused by the fact that Gerard thinks he can take on Death for him. It's cute. It's crazy but its cute and Gerard totally gets a bonus blowjob for that sentiment.

Ryan gets out first and he just, he lives on Spencer's floor and he works a desk at an animal shelter that believes that you can rehab non-violent felons with puppies and he doesn't really deal. He writes to Bob every now and then but he doesn't give a return address. He just floats and keeps his fucking head way down for about a year until he comes one from the shelter one day and finds Bob sitting on the stoop outside Spencer's building.

He's wearing all black, which Ryan's never never seen him wear before he looks up at Ryan, grins and says "Hey." Ryan sputters and says "Hey" back.
