you broke me. :( bostongirl2003 July 21 2009, 16:08:13 UTC
I haven't left any comments (bad me!) but I am so effin addicted to this story I've been waking up early to read it before I went to work. And GAH! I knew, I *knew* I should have waited until there was a happy part posted to follow up this one, but I couldn't wait.

Please to be making it better soon? I'm a fragile and delicate thing, and I'm so, so in love with these characters that this is breaking my heart.

I read the final part this morning, and even though it isn't a Disneyfied happy ending, I really think it was a natural, fitting conclusion with how you've developed Vince and his relationships. Awesome work creating such a multi-dimensional, complex, heart-breaking character, bb.

I can't wait for the sequel!

When Billy burst into E's house and just started talking I was literally making useless little hand motions and squeaking "Shut up, SHUT UP!" And now my heart hurts and I'm worried for Vince. Damn it, E!

So, I read this story on my iPhone during a meeting at work, and the guy next to me kept asking why I was giggling and blushing like a school girl. This had some seriously hot moments and a poignantly sad one. I know that we will have a happy ending, so I am definitely looking forward to that.

Okay. I knew the trainwreck was coming, but...

It took me a long time to reply to this because I struggled to find the words. The emotions of the characters were conveyed in a way that was adult, raw, and so very real. I mean, my mind clearly saw every action and reaction. Seriously, from Ari's snark at the beginning, to the implosion, Mrs. Ari's careful bookings (goyim de-stress during the holidays - ha!), to Vince's quiet desperation at the end - I just felt this, know what I mean? Loved the Pagliacci mention. Extremely clever (and very apt); but as much as it's one of my faves, that shit didn't end well for anybody.

Wonderful, wonderful writing.
